Candlelight Records recently announced its second North American label tour package. Set to kick off January 9 Candlelight II: Phoenix Rising will feature the long-awaited stateside return of Dark Funeral (Sweden), Enslaved (Norway) and introduce newcomers Abigail Williams (USA). The tour will visit 20-plus cities before concluding on February 4.
Dark Funeral guitarist/founding member Lord Ahriman says, "since we announced the first European tour dates for our latest album Attera Totus Sanctus earlier this year, there has been a constant and completely overwhelming flow of mails from the US and Canada asking when the hell we will tour North America. Well finally dates are being booked! Last time we toured the US supporting Cannibal Corpse in 2002 we had a blast. Everyone we met during that tour was really cool. The crowd was totally awesome. It'll be killer to finally return overseas! I have the feeling that this is going to be one hell of a tour and we hope see you in January!"
Enslaved guitarist Ivar Bjornson adds, "I have awaited this moment since I don’t know when and now it is official: an extensive Enslaved tour in North America is becoming reality. We have been working every possible angle of getting over to present our music for years. We are looking forward to seeing each and every one of you at the shows. You won’t be disappointed; neither will we."
The tour continues Candlelight's growing commitment to the live forum. Recent Candlelight artists to visit the US include Vader (Poland),Destruction (Germany), and Emperor (Norway). This fall Candlelight will present tours from Dismember (Sweden), Epica (Netherlands), 1349 (Norway), Sahg (Norway), Daylight Dies (USA) and Witchcraft (Sweden), with additional festivals and tour announcements to soon follow.
Dates and ticket on sale information for Candlelight II: Phoenix Rising will be announced shortly. The first date to be revealed is as follows:

"I can promise that you will not be disappointed," says Chaq Mol. "As always, we will keep it simple, but with a good sound."
MORDICHRIST had previously issued a limited-edition (500 copies) 10-inch mini-LP via Danza Ipnotica.
MORDICHRIST singer Nenia is going lend her diabolical voice to the German black metallers CAEDES on their new CD. No further information is currently available.
The following messages have been posted on the official Dark Funeral website:
"We are sorry to inform that DARK FUNERAL, NAGLFAR, AMORAL & ASMODEUS gigs in Lódz and Katowice have been cancelled. Massive Music would like to apologize for all inconveniences caused to Dragon Productions and the bands. The cancellation is beyond our control, we are entirely helpless in the face of the present political situation in Poland. "
Mariusz Kmiolek/Massive Music POLAND
"We understand this has really nothing to do with Dark Funeral alone as a band, but by a musical scene the Polish Catholics obviously wish to forbid. To us this is just another proof of the hypocrisy that lies behind organised religions. They happily promote tolerance, yet, as soon as they see something they dislike, they are fast as a shark to call for censorship. The thing is, reactions like this will most certainly give the opposite result, it always does! We would however like to apologize for all inconveniences this has and will cause our Polish fans, but this is unfortunately beyond our control"
Dark Funeral will be releasing their upcoming album, "Attera Totus Sanctus" on March 10 in Brazil via Hellion Records.

Dark Funeral have posted the following message at their official site:
"Due to the overwhelming interest for our forth-coming tour throughout Europe, we are unfortunately forced to cancel our planned show at this years edition of Metal Båten/Metal Cruise (March 23), a show we were really looking forward to do.
The original plan was to round up the tour and finish it off with this very special show, but obviously the interest for our tour is so much bigger than we and our booking agency (Dragon Production) ever could imagine. So by the time this show is set to take place, we will still be doing shows on the other side of Europe.
From the originally planned 4 weeks, we have decided to add two more weeks. Still, there will be a couple of countries, like the UK among others that we won’t be able to squeeze in on these 6 weeks.
Normally 4 weeks is enough to cover most part of Europe, but with the great success of our new album “Attera Totus Sanctus” this tour will bring us to a wider audience and to many new cities and countries. See you on the road !!!"

Feb. 24 - Stockholm, SWE – Klubben
Feb. 25 - Malmö, SWE – KB
Feb. 26 - Göteborg, SWE – Kåren
GOD AMONG INSECTS, the Swedish "old-school" death metal band featuring vocalist Emperor Magus Caligula (DARK FUNERAL), guitarist Lord K (a.k.a. Kenth Philipson) (THE PROJECT HATE), bassist Tomas Elofsson (SANCTIFICATION) and drummer Tobias Gustafsson (VOMITORY), have posted the following update on their sophomore album, "Zombienomicon", tentatively due in early 2006 via Threeman Recordings.
"Not much to report at the moment since not a shit is happening in the INSECTS camp. We are still waiting for Threeman to hand us a definite release date for the album, but shit is happening with that as well. They have asked us not to hand out an mp3 of a tune just yet, we'll see for how much longer we'll play along since we definitely want you guys to hear something off the coming slab of death.
"We were offered a European tour some time ago and finally had to decline since Caligula will be out with DARK FUNERAL at the time planned for the tour. Bummer, but fuck it. Lord K Philipson is currently out touring with Swedish death metal veterans VOMITORY as well so for the third or fourth time in this news thing, there's simply jack-fuck happening with the INSECTS at the moment.
"But... We have recieved the complete lay-out for 'Zombienomicon' now and you could say we are ecstatic by having one of the ugliest damned covers ever on a metal album. If this fucken thing doesn't get banned, something is wrong. As soon as we can we'll hand it out to you as well. Maybe at the same time when we decide to give you a tune for downloading, we guess we just have to do the mastering first — and no date is set for that either, of course.
"We'll try to see what Threeman's up to with everything so we can inform you guys. No matter what, the album is worth the wait. In the meantime we might just start working on album number 3."
GOD AMONG INSECTS' sophomore album was recorded at Abyss Studios with producer Tommy Tägtgren. The group's debut CD, "World Wide Death", is available now on Threeman Recordings via Plastic Head Distribution. An MP3 of the album cut "A Gush of Blood" can be downloaded at this location.
Dark Funeral has entered the Swedish top 40 at #35 and the Swedish Heavy Metal chart at #3.
Dark Funeral are currently planning a tour throughout Europe that will be handled by Dragon Productions. And this coming Saturday, Nov 5, they will meet their fans and sign their new album in Gothenburg at CD-Specialisten (Kungsgatan).
