After three days, the full and uncensored version of the brand new video from Dark Funeral, “My Funeral,” has been pulled from MySpace.
Guitarist Lord Ahriman comments: "So, it took about 3 days, and from what I have been told, 30,000 views, for MySpace to pull our new majestic video for 'My Funeral.' That’s fucking lame to say the least! Even though I respect My Space and their rules, I’m totally against censorship. The way I see it, and as long as it’s not illegal (and there sure wasn’t anything illegal in the video), if you find something on the internet you don’t like, just don’t fucking watch it! How hard can it be? Let everyone else who enjoy it do so without your interfering. Either way, whoever flagged it should know that you just did us a great, great favor, thank you! Now people will hunt the uncensored version and I’m absolutely sure that you’re pathetic action will increase the plays with thousands of thousands of views. So once again, thank you, but fuck you!
I hope the rest of you enjoy our new tune and video anyway!
"Let them hate us as long as they fear us!"
An alternate, censored, version of the video will be added during the day at www.myspace.com/darkfuneral

Swedish black metallers Dark Funeral have finalized more details on their upcoming album "Angelus Exuro Pro Eternus." The new album, which is set for a November 18th release via Regain Records, was recorded at Abyss Studio in Grangärde (Sweden) with engineer and producer Peter Tägtgren (Pain, Hypocrisy). Dark Funeral issued the following statement about the album release:
"The album will be released in a couple of different formats. One of the first officially confirmed information is that the very first editions will be a 2 DISC Limited Edition [containing 1 CD + 1 Live DVD]. The bonus live DVD offers approx. 55 minutes of all previously unreleased material. Professionally filmed with 6 cameras during the band’s highly acclaimed 15th anniversary special show, which has been commended as a 'firestorm' during the P&L Festival in Sweden 2008, cannot be missed! The album will also include 2 versions (soft & hardcore) of their brand new video for 'My Funeral'.
"Furthermore Dark Funeral shot a video for one of the new tracks, 'My Funeral', over the August 21-23. The video was shot in and outside an old and closed mental hospital. The environment was just killer. And besides, it suited the video theme perfect! The video is currently under editing by Standard Film Team. And within the next two-three weeks it should be ready for the world premiere. However, due to the graphic violence and somewhat gory nature of the video, I would assume that we will be forced to edit two versions, one soft and one hard core version. Exactly how and where we'll release them is yet to be decided though."
The track listing will be as follows: More...
Dark Funeral has issued the following update about their upcoming album "Angelus Exuro pro Eternus:"
"Peter Tagtgren is currently mixing our new album at his Abyss Studios. Once we have approved the final mix, Jonas Kjellgren [Scar Symmetry] will be mastering it.
"By listening to the rough-mix, the final production will kill totally, no doubt! Can’t wait to blast the final result in the stereo!
"We decided to go for a bit rawer sound this time, and not as crystal clear and perhaps polished as our last album [Attera Totus Sanctus ©2005], but no worries. The production still holds the high quality that you would come to expect from us. We haven’t done ‘a Metallica’ so to say!
"During the last weekend we spent at the Abyss Studio we recorded a video for one of the new tracks. The video was shot in and outside an old and closed mental hospital. The environment was just killer. And besides, it suited the video theme perfect! The video is currently under editing by ‘Standard Film Team’. And within the next 2-3 weeks it should be ready for world premiere. However, due to the graphic violence and somewhat gory nature of the video, I would assume that we will be forced to edit 2 versions, one soft and one hard core version. Exactly how and where we’ll release them is yet to be decided though, but we will keep you posted about it of course. The video was shot for a track called ‘My Funeral’.
"Now you may wonder what the album will be called. Well, here is another ‘exclusive’ for you…. ‘Angelus Exuro pro Eternus’ !!!"
Dark Funeral has issued the following update about recording a new album:
"While E.M Caligula has been busy in the studio this week, writing and recording the vocals for the new album. The rest of us have had a well-deserved break, and spent some time at home with family and friends.
"Tomorrow (Friday Aug 21) the whole band will meet up again at the Abyss studio. And to begin with, we will shoot a video for one of the new tracks!
"We have found some really sick and suitable locations in the area around the Studio. So, besides working on the final stuff for the new record, we will shoot a video between Friday and Sunday. And by the time we are done with the video-shoot, we should, hopefully, be ready to begin with the final mix and mastering of our new, yet untitled, Masterpiece! During the coming weekend we will also be visited by international journalists and the mighty Tattoo artist Carlos Aguilar (Black Shadows Tattoo and Magazine).
"More detailed info on the new album, it’s title among many other things will be announced shortly. Stay tuned….
"And by the way, there’s A LOT in plans right now so make sure to sign up to our official MAILING LIST to not miss anything out."
Swedish black metal outfit Dark Funeral are currently in the studio recording their new album, which remains untitled at the moment. Guitarist Lord Ahriman has posted the following album update for the bands fans:
"It’s been a really tuff and hectic schedule for us during the past couple of weeks, but I shall not complain. It actually feels amazingly good to be super busy again with the band, and especially spending time in the studio recording a new album.
"On the weekends we have played festivals around Europe. It’s been a blast indeed! And on the weekdays we have, and are still, located at the Abyss Studio, recording what surly will become yet another masterpiece, no doubt!
"I must admit that while I/we have been writing for this album my personal impression has been that the material is somewhat slower, not as technical etc., compared to our previous albums. And I actually thought it would become like a 50/50 split with fast and non blastbeat songs. I couldn’t have been more wrong. More...

Dark Funeral has checked in with the following update:
"Finally! Today, July 10th we will enter the Abyss studio together with producer Peter Tägtgren to begin the recording of a new, yet untitled, full-length album. Not sure how long it’ll take to finalize and nail the new stuff, but we’re roughly expecting to spend the next 4-5 weeks or so in the Studio.
"Since we won’t have regular access to internet while we work on the new record, we have set up a Twitter account. This way we can text in short updates to keep you all as updated as possible throughout the entire recording session. You’ll find us on Twitter at http://twitter.com/DarkFuneral
"During the recording session we will also write some more in depths studio reports of course, but through Twitter we can provide you with short and daily updates. We will also be filming, so keep your eyes open for video reports as well. The studio/video reports will be posted on our YouTube channel [www.youtube.com/darkfuneral] and MySpace [www.myspace.com/darkfuneral].
"Just like countless of other bands, we have, unfortunately, also been forced cancel our show at the Unholy Fest, but thanx to Lechoslaw Wilk (Blood Fire Death Festival) and our booking agency Dragon Productions, we have been fortunate enough to arrange a replacement show in this very last minute. So instead of playing Unholy Fest on July 25th, we will play at Club 'CK Wiatrak' in Zabrze City [http://www.wiatrak.art.pl].
"Since it’s a last-minute show, and we want to fill the place to it’s entirely, the ticket price is set to only 40 Zlotys (9 euro) in pre-sale, and 50 Zlotys (11 euro) at the door. Support will come from 'Infernal War' and 'Pleroms Gate.' See you there!!!"
Dark Funeral has issued the following update about canceling their appearance at the Unholy Fest:
"Just like countless of other bands, we have, unfortunately, also been forced cancel our show at the Unholy Fest. It actually seems like this festival was never going happen in the first place, and just a big scam already from the beginning. The promoter seems to have disappeared from the surface of the earth, whereof we, and as it seems, also many other bands, simply have no other option but to cancel.
"This sure sucks for us, who were really looking forward to this show, as much as we know it does for all of you who already have purchased tickets and made arrangement for the fest. We do hope that all of you who have bought tickets will be fully refunded by the organizer though! More...

"At this point of time we have demoed 7 new and totally amazing (of course) songs and we got an 8th almost done. Besides that, we have quite a lot of additional material written that we hopefully will be able to turn into a killer track or two before our studio time runs out. More...
