Killing Joke Added To Hammerfest 4
Hammerfest 2013 has just announced that along with St. Vitus, the festival line-up has just added legendary band Killing Joke. Angel Witch and a veritable who's who of metal will also be appearing at the Hammerfest 4 festival, which will take place on March 14th-16th at Haven Hafan y Môr Holiday Park, Pwllheli, Gwynedd, North Wales. Mpire of Evil Plays Venom Classics in San Antonio
All hell broke loose on March 26th, 2012. Hell didn’t exactly break loose considering Korova club in San Antonio ushered a guestimated fifty people through their doors. Shows held at the beginning of the work week may produce dismal ticket sales, but south Texas must not have gotten the memo: Mpire of Evil contains ex-Venom members, who play Venom classic Venom numbers.
Mpire of Evil isn’t exactly Venom and without a blurb explaining their lineup, the name Mpire of Evil may elicit a “never heard ‘em before” type response. The night’s headliners, Mpire of Evil and fellow Brits Onslaught were both American tour circuit noobs. Onslaught took nearly thirty years to make an American appearance, which has hindered them from gaining the fame they so badly deserve. One can’t fault the level of devotion possessed by Onslaught’s small cult of American followers. Some of the fans at Korova’s had waited three decades, figuring to never see the thrashers. For most of us, this was the closest we had ever been to witnessing Venom, so this was a night not to be missed. More...
Onslaught Tour Kicking Off Tonight
The first ever North American tour for England’s thrash commanders Onslaught finally begins tonight, erupting in the city of Seattle. Following the kickoff this evening, the tour will blast its way through nineteen other metal havens across the continent towards the East Coast, wrapping up in Brooklyn in three weeks, with direct support from all ex-Venom supergroup M-pire Of Evil.
Onslaught’s exclusive 90-minute set for the Scream For Violence 2012 North American tour spans the band's back catalog, including the classic "Power from Hell," "The Force," and "In Search of Sanity" LPs, in addition to the band's crushing comeback albums "Killing Peace" and "Sounds of Violence."
Onslaught is also amassing as much video footage as possible from this tour for an upcoming release. Dates are as follows:

Onslaught's fifth studio album "Sounds Of Violence" was released in North American in February 2011 via AFM Records.
MPire Of Evil Details Debut Full Length LP
U.K. thrash band MPire of Evil, featuring Ex-Venom members Tony "Demolition Man" Dolan and and Jeff "Mantas" Dunn, will release the band's debut full length release entitled "Hell to the Holy" on March 26, 2012 through Scarlet Records. The band is also streaming the new track "Hellspawn," which can be heard below. The album was produced by Mantas and features the artwork of Gyula Havancsák (Grave Digger/Destruction) (seen below).
The band will provide support this March/April on Onslaught's first ever North American tour. For dates, head on over to this location.
