Dhishti Posts New Album Teaser

Sri Lanka based black metal band Dhishti has posted a teaser trailer online for the band's new album "Meditation of Death." Check out the album's sneak peek in the player below, or find more details on Dhishti at this location.

According to the band, "The album contains two tracks at 21:12 minutes each which will take you through the process of a meditation of death, reflecting on the severence of worldly connections and preparation for the eventuality of death."

Dhishti Splits With Bassist

Sri Lanka based act Dhishti has issued the following statement about parting ways with the band's bassist:

"Greetings Fellow Brethren,

"It is with great regret that we announce that of our bassist Lord Bhahirawa of Wavulkale (AKA Srala Rukshitha) has left Dhishti due to personal issues. It was an unforgettable experience that we shared with our dear brother and his decision to leave Dhishti has been very hard on each and every one of us.

"Lord Bhahirawa played a very important role in the upcoming album Life is Suffering. composing and recording basslines for the tracks and performing live in a number of live gigs that we played in 2011. We would like to Wish him all the very best for his future endeavors

"Replacing Lord Bhahirawa, The Duties of the Bassist will be taken over by 'D' (AKA Arosha Hettiarachchi ex-Spleen Saint) After the Meditation of Death tour 'D' will be taking over the position of Bassist of Dhishti. We welcome him to the Depressive Rebellion with open Arms.

Dhishti Announces Shows In India

Sri Lanka's Dhishti has issued the following announcement about upcoming tour dates in India:

"Dhishti is proud to announce their second tour of the Land of Jambudweepa - The Meditation of Death Tour 2012 presented by Frameshift Initiatives of India in association with Raaksha Studios and Productions, Sri Lanka.

"Dhishti will be commencing Blood Ritual in 4 different states in the land of the Spiritual and Enlightened from the 21st of January to the 6th of February 2012 Making a milestone in SLBM HISTORY. This Journey of epic proportions incorporates the following events:

1) 21st January 2012 : Black Metal Krieg II - Mumbai
2) 27th January 2012 : Darjeeling Meta-Legion Fest - Darjeeling
3) 29th January 2012 : Stormbringer II - Guwahati
4) 06th February 2012 : Dhishti Live in Bangalore - Bangalore
