Fallen Captive Is "Famous"

Cleveland OH based metal band Fallen Captive has just released the third music video from the self-titled debut full-length release, which was issued back on July 14th. The video for "Famous" was filmed live at The Agora on July 14th during the band's album release headlining show.

Frontman Stevie James commented on the track stating: "'Famous' is my take on the narcissistic and hollow culture that social media has created. Millions of insecure and talentless hacks begging for arbitrary attention through 'likes' and 'Shares.' It's no wonder my generation has a huge and worsening mental health problem. But hey, fucking it, post another selfie on the beach and tell everyone how much you care about progressive issues. Are you famous yet?"

Fallen Captive Signs With Urban Yeti Records

Fallen Captive, a Cleveland, Ohio-based metal act, has signed with independent record label Urban Yeti Records. Formed in 2010, the group has a strong following in the region from countless tours and several strong album releases. The lineup includes Stevie James (vocals), Jim Bergmann and Rob Warmuth (Guitars), Jay Verbic (Drums), Brian French (keys) and Morgan Patterson (bass).

The group cites Periphery, Killswitch Engage and After the Burial as some of the influences for their sound and approach to writing songs. When asked about their live performances, guitarist Rob Warmuth added, "We like to have fun on stage and we show it, smiles and all...it's who we are."

When asked about Fallen Captive, Urban Yeti co-founder Mike Gevorgian said, "This is a band I've enjoyed as a fan for many years and I look forward to the metal community discovering and enjoying the talent of these guys the same way I have." He continued, 'These guys love music and they love metal. They are not trying to be something they aren't. Fallen Captive Recording EP

Fallen Captive has checked in with the following announcement about recording an upcoming release:

"We're stoked to announce that today we begin tracking our third EP! It's been 2 1/2 years since we put out the Edge of Collapse EP and we believe that this new material is our strongest yet. We believe our music has matured and all elements of our music has simply 'stepped up.'

"As an unsigned band, we will be self-funding all aspects of this process, from the recordings to the artwork to new merch, etc.; giving you the best potential product that we can possibly give you.

"We know there are campaigns like Kickstarter and Indiegogo to assist that, but that's just not our style. We don't believe in over-priced T-shirts and '$500 hangout sessions' because our T-shirts are always fair priced and hangsouts are absolutely free anytime, anywhere.

"With that being said, if you do want to help us out in any way, check out our online merch store here or simply just 'like' this status on Facebook. Literally any dollar will help us out immensely." More...
