Dusks Embrace Set To Release New Album

Salem, Portland based progressive metal band, Dusks Embrace have announced the fourth studio album "ReAwakening," which is set to be released this Fall.

"ReAwakening" will be a milestone for the band in many ways. This record introduces a new vocalist, Aldo Arevalo, as well as a whole new sonic palette for the band. This record is the coalescence of years spent working on various metal, EDM, electronic and video game style music. The wide range of influences have led this record to be as much of a sonic journey as well as a musical one. Not content to follow in the trend of chugging metal, Dusks Embrace have worked to create a record that is strong in songwriting as well as sonic direction. Dusks Embrace Posts New Song

Oregon act Dusks Embrace recently announced the band would be calling it quits, with plans to still post previously unreleased material online. One of those tracks, titled "From Idols to Dust," can now be heard in the player below.

Josh Brewer of Dusks Embrace also commented: "Here is the new track called 'From Idols to Dust.' Thanks to Marv Broxson for the lyrical help. If you like what you hear share it with your friends!"

Dusks Embrace Calling It Quits

Josh Brewer of Oregon act Dusks Embrace has issued the following announcement about the band deciding to call it a day after a final show:

"So there have been some really big changes lately. Basically all of our members have left. I have a few unfinished tracks that I am going to get done but for all intents and purposes I am now closing this chapter of my life and moving on. It may be possible that in a few years I may do something with Dusks Embrace again but for now this is the end.

"I have a few t-shirts/hoodies/cds left. I am going to do one last show by myself at the Hawthorn on the 22nd of this month. If you are at all interested in tickets let me know and I can figure out how to get them too you. I will be selling and giving away a lot of the merch at that show.

"Hope to see you all out there and thanks for all the good times and the kind words about the music I have worked on that you all have sent me over the years. It has meant the world!"

Dusks Embrace Posts Video Clip Online

Oregon based metal act Dusks Embrace has posted a video clip online for the song "Behind Our Silence Wall," which is taken off the band's "The Twilight Enigma" album. You can check out the clip below, and the band also commented:

"If you haven't seen our music video, check it out and let us know what you think! Also, we've been thinking about having another one made. But we don't know which song to use. Any ideas?

"We're playing out first show in a while with Beyond The Red Horizon, Forged In Flame, Polkadot Cadaver, Arkona, and Korpiklaani! The show is December 5th, so come out and show your support Portland!"
