Rhapsody Announces Farewell Reunion Tour

Fabio Lione, Luca Turilli, Dominique Leurquin, Patrice Guers and Alex Holzwarth proudly announce the reunion of the original members of Rhapsody, and the relevant farewell tour of the band.

The Italian band Rhapsody, one of the greatest icons of Symphonic Power Metal, will gather together to commemorate the 20th Anniversary from their first official release, playing their album “Symphony Of Enchanted Lands” in full, as well as other classics of the band. It will be an exciting and emotional event no one should ever miss, as this will be the only and last chance to see the band performing on stage together. The Rhapsody’s 20th Anniversary Farewell Tour will be hosted by Top Link Music.(this location).

Since its consecration in 1997 with the album "Legendary Tales," Rhapsody has become a worldwide awarded band thanks to its unique, epic and orchestral sound. Initially baptized in the "Hollywood Metal" style, because of its movies-related fascination and its characteristic epic soundtrack elements, the Italian band established itself as one of the biggest names in Symphonic Power Metal thanks to their second release “Symphony Of Enchanted Lands”, which soon became a classic of that music genre. Rhapsody’s main influences also include classical composers such as Vivaldi, Bach, Beethoven, Paganini and many others (the song “The Wizard's Last Rhymes” from Rain Of A Thousand Flames, for example, is based on Antonín Dvorák’s ‘New World Symphony’). These elements made the band clearly unique in the whole heavy metal scene and, thanks to its magic, gathered lots of fans all over the world and inspired many bands, giving birth to a brand new musical wave and genre, that established a real and effective Rhapsody imagery. The 20th Anniversary Farewell Tour will represent a last chance for everyone to feel part of that wonderful magic once again. Luca, Fabio, Patrice, Dominique and Alex will celebrate such important and historical event with and for their amazing fans! More...

LT Rhapsody To Make Music History

The latest album of Luca Turilli's Rhapsody, "Prometheus, Symphonia Ignis Divinus," was chosen to be the first studio album in music history to be remixed in Dolby Atmos. Luca commented: “'Cinematic And Live' is the first live product to be released by my Luca Turilli’s Rhapsody band and represents the live album I always dreamed of. It was recorded in Italy, France, Germany and Spain in 2012 and 2016 and it almost includes all the songs played by Luca Turilli’s Rhapsody until now. We recently played our show number 100 and this important release represents the perfect celebration for these last years of live activity around the world. 'Cinematic And Live' features songs from both the 'Ascending To Infinity' and the 'Prometheus' cinematic tours and it includes over 120 minutes of Rhapsody music: the newest songs, the old classics and some titles from my solo discography, too. The mix of Christian 'Moschus' Moos and the mastering of Simone Mularoni were the cherry on the cake for this live album sounding really powerful, soulful and emotional like no others, with the important live atmosphere adding a new and exciting dimension to Luca Turilli’s Rhapsody’s cinematic music!”

Luca Turilli's Rhapsody Posts Album Trailer

Only a few days left until the masters of cinematic metal - Luca Turilli’s Rhapsody - will release new album "Prometheus - Symphonia Ignis Divinus" via Nuclear Blast (June 19th in Europe and June 30th in the U.S.).

Today, the band releases the first part of a series of trailers, which includes album excerpts and can be heard below. You can also read our review here. Luca Turilli comments:

“The music and lyrics of Rhapsody are generally inspired by science, metaphysics, myths and legends, the mysteries of the universe and much more. All these topics are related with one basic and fundamental source of inspiration that I would define as 'spiritual evolution.' In my life experience I felt always attracted by what hides behind the miracle of creation. I always tried to find an answer to all the common philosophical questions: from where we come, where do we go and which is the sense of all this, what really hides beyond the illusion of space and time, what happens after our physical death and all that.

"In particular I was very interested in understanding more about that primordial original spiritual source that was later manipulated by man, in a more or less wise way, and that gave birth to all religions. I started finding the first important answers to this kind of questions in the second part of my life, after some particular events happened to me and that changed my life vision once for all. From that moment, mainly thanks to the constant practice of yoga and meditation, I started exploring the possibilities of the human brain and the relation between the material world and the spiritual dimension surrounding us, finally starting to understand where the key lies for the comprehension of all things.

"As these subjects became fundamental in my daily life, it is natural I felt the need to express all this also through the music and lyrics of my Rhapsody band. The song 'Il Tempo Degli Dei,' in particular, is very special for me as in the middle section of the same track you can hear the real voice of the greatest Italian psychic, Gustavo Adolfo Rol (1903-1994), reading from the pages of his diary the famous words of what he defined as 'The tremendous Law,' that quantum gate discovered by him in 1927 and allowing him to gain access to a set of supernatural 'possibilities' that he used in the name of light and love. That song is dedicated to him as he is one of my greatest inspirations.” More...
