Background

Forming in 1989, the original Marilyn Manson line-up consisted of part-time journalist Manson (b. Brian Warner, 5 January 1969, Canton, Ohio, USA; vocals/tape loops), Daisy Berkowitz (guitar), Olivia Newton-Bundy (bass) and Zsa Zsa Speck (keyboards), later joined by Sara Lee Lucas (drums) - all the band members assuming forenames of female icons and surnames of famous murderers. Bundy and Speck were replaced at the end of 1989 by Gidget Gein and Madonna Wayne Gacy (b. Steve Bier), respectively.

The best description I think I have ever seen of Manson comes from RollingStone Magazine. It goes like this:

"Imagine Alice Cooper times 10. Picture KISS on an acid and whiskey bender. Marry the gross-out hilarity of G.G. Allin with the ubiquity of Howard Stern. Combine the "search and destroy" frenzy of Iggy Pop with the godless zeal of Ozzy Osbourne. Take two cups of the devil and throw in a pinch of P.T. Barnum, and you still can't fathom all that is...Marilyn Manson."

To me this describes the whole aura and prescence of Manson. The band has caused controversy with almost everything they have done. Manson has been sued, arrested, and banned in certain cities from playing live. They were accused of providing the thoughts that were brought out during the 'Columbine School Shootings' with one of their song's lyrics.

To fans, Manson is a God. His live shows are as heavy and exciting as any other metal tour around. During live performances Manson has been known to piss on the crowd, kill chickens, engage in sexual acts, tear the Bible, stab himself, and the list goes on.

Alex Terrible Shares Falling In Reverse Cover

Slaughter To Prevail frontman Alex Terrible has released a new cover of Falling In Reverse’s collaborative track with Marilyn Manson, “God Is A Weapon.” Terrible and Ronnie Radke have grown notably close in recent years, with their connection first emerging in 2023 after Radke publicly backed Terrible amid backlash over some of Terrible’s online commentary.

Their creative relationship has only deepened since. Terrible later contributed his signature guttural vocals to Falling In Reverse’s track “Ronald,” which preceded the two bands hitting the road together.

Radke returned the favor by appearing on Slaughter To Prevail’s “Imdead,” a cut from the Russian deathcore group’s latest album, GRIZZLY.

Marilyn Manson Premieres New Music Video

Marilyn Manson has officially released his twelfth studio album, One Assassination Under God – Chapter 1. This marks his first full-length record since multiple allegations of sexual assault and misconduct emerged against him several years ago. While many of these claims pertained to events alleged to have occurred over a decade ago, Manson has consistently denied the accusations. Some of the related civil lawsuits have been privately settled or dismissed, though legal proceedings are ongoing.

Notably, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office recently revealed that its Sex Crimes Division is investigating “new leads and additional evidence” related to Manson, adding another layer of complexity to his legal troubles.

Amid these challenges, Manson has sought to revitalize his career. He returned to live performances earlier this year and previewed several singles from the new album. To coincide with the album’s release, Manson has also debuted a music video for the title track, directed by long-time collaborator Bill Yukich.

In a statement shared today, November 22nd, Manson commented: More...

Marilyn Manson Premieres His 2nd New Single

Marilyn Manson premieres the second track of his musical comeback. The multi-platinum shock rocker is attempting to revive his career following the wave of sexual assault and misconduct allegations brought against him by over a dozen women in 2021.

These allegations led to several civil lawsuits, with a few still ongoing, alongside Manson’s own defamation case against his ex-fiancée Evan Rachel Wood and her associate Ilma Gore, whom he accuses of orchestrating a campaign to defame him. In response to these accusations, Manson was dropped by his record label, management, and talent agency.

Earlier this month, Manson embarked on his first tour since 2019, while also releasing his first new music in three years. After the debut of the track “As Sick As The Secrets Within,” the 55-year-old musician has now followed up with another new song, “Raise The Red Flag.”

Manson is currently touring North America and plans to continue in Europe and the UK next year. His current live lineup features Tyler Bates, Reba Meyers (Code Orange), Piggy D. (formerly of Rob Zombie), and Gil Sharone (formerly of The Dillinger Escape Plan). Upcoming tour dates include: More...

Marilyn Manson To Join Ozzy Osbourne On Tour

When Ozzy Osbourne relaunches his No More Tours 2 in 2020, he'll be joined by special guest Marilyn Manson for the North American shows.

These dates are Ozzy's first shows since he announced earlier this year that all his 2019 performances would be postponed allowing him to heal from an injury sustained while dealing with pneumonia. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy-winning singer and songwriter and 2019 Grammy Special Merit Award recipient fell at his Los Angeles home and trapped his spine aggravating years-old injuries (from his 2003 ATV accident) that required surgery.

The No More Tours 2 kicks off May 27 in Atlanta and concludes July 31 in Las Vegas. Next up, Osbourne will head overseas in October for the rescheduled UK and European dates; Judas Priest will remain as support on the tour as part of their JP/50 Heavy Metal Years anniversary tour.

"Marilyn is killer live," Ozzy says. "He's so fucking out there, and if I think that, then look out, we're all fucked."

"I've toured with Ozzy many times and it's always been fucking spectacular," says Marilyn Manson. "I'm honored to do it again. This is one not to miss."

The tour dates are as follows: More...

Rob Zombie And Marilyn Manson To Tour Together

Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson have announced that they will once again team up for another edition of their "Twins Of Evil" tour, dubbed "Twins Of Evil - Hell Never Dies." The tour will kick off in Baltimore and include appearances at Rock Fest in Cadott, WI and Rock USA in Oshkosh, WI. Tickets go on sale on Friday. A video message from the duo can be seen below.

Both artists have been hard at work on their new albums, while Rob Zombie has also been putting the finishing touches on his new film, "Three From Hell," the sequel to his 2005 film, "The Devil's Rejects," which itself is a sequel to the 2003 movie, "House Of 1000 Corpses."

The two previously toured together in 2012, during which several bitter incidents occurred between the two, beginning with a Tweet from Manson which read: "Sorry to Chicago for not getting to play 'Beautiful People.' You can sing it in between Zombie songs, his band has already played it." Manson also accused Zombie of cutting into his set and claimed he was going to, "Beat his ass twice... Maybe three times." Zombie responded with a series of expletives aimed at Manson onstage, before posting a message on Facebook which read:

"I don't get it. Christ, I've known some of his crew for 20 fucking years and some of his crew used work for me. It's all good. No one would fuck with someone's show. It is ridiculous ... Well, of course, I felt the need to respond to the 'kick my ass remark.' Who wouldn't? Although I wish I had kept it backstage and kept the fans out of it. It is all 4th grade fight after school nonsense of which I have never dealt with on tour before. Co-headlining tours always go smooth because everything is cut 50/50 and I mean everything. No one fucks with anyone's show. It is even fucking Steven. I've done it co-headlining tours many times before and have had no troubles."

The tour dates are as follows: More...
