Following last week's tour diary, Famous Last Words has again checked from the road to let us know all about the last few shows of a just-finished tour alongside Alesana and Oh, Sleeper.
Check out part 2 below, along with some more killer show photos from Justin Conant:
"The 'Ten Frail Years Of Vanity And Wax' tour has officially come to an end. It actually sort of ended over the course of two nights.
"The first 'last show' was at Sidewinder in Austin Texas. The show was killer and we all stormed the stage during Alesana's set as a little end of tour prank/ tradition. Unfortunately Oh, Sleeper and Two O' Clock Courage had to drop off after this show before the tour headed to GA.
"Both bands were made up of amazing dudes and musicians. After the show we all went out to a bar to celebrate and say our goodbyes. It was even more of a celebration because we got our first week sales back that day and found out that our new album, 'The Incubus' charted on Billboard.com.
"The actual last night of the tour was equally as fun. We played The Masquerade in Atlanta Georgia. Not only was it the last show of the tour, but also probably the last time we will play The Masquerade in its old location.
"It was a killer last hoorah though because the kids went absolutely nuts. The energy was unreal and we felt privileged to be sent off by such a great crowd. They were so awesome that we even forgive them for dropping TyTy when he stage dove. After the show, we said our goodbyes to the dudes in Alesana. It was truly a sad day because this really was one of the most fun and relaxed tours we have ever been on. More...
After we premiered the full new album "The Incubus" from Famous Last Words, the band hit the road with Alesana and Oh, Sleeper for a U.S. tour.
Still embarked on that trek that runs through October 12th, JT of Famous Last Words has checked in with us for the first in a series of exclusive tour diaries!
Check out his rundown of how the tour has been going, along with some stellar show photos courtesy of Justin Conant. JT comments:
"We left my house the night of September 23rd. It was a 14 hour drive to the first show. When we finally arrived at the venue, it started as most shows do. We checked out the venue, loaded in, and set up Merch. But the best part of the first day of tour is meeting all of the people on the package that you will be spending the next few weeks with. Immediately, there was a super positive energy among the package and it hasn't changed since then.
"A few days into tour, we played at Webster Hall in NYC. This whole day was a crazy experience. Between fighting cabbies for parking spots, one of the craziest shows on the tour so far, and the absolute craziest load out ever through a crowd of hundreds of people, it made for a pretty epic day of tour.
"The rest of the shows have been incredible too. Everyone in the package is getting closer and we are all finally starting to get each others names down (one of the biggest tour struggles ever). It's definitely been one hell of an experience and a great time and we don't expect it to slow down at all on this run."
Stay tuned for the next tour diary to arrive next week as Famous Last Words continues to support new release "The Incubus." More...

The album features opening single, “Pretty in Porcelain,” which was recently accompanied by a music video about domestic and sexual abuse and is the first introduction to the album’s key character, Christine. "The Incubus" as a whole faces the untold stories of domestic abuse, taking place in the early 50’s. Vocalist JT comments:
"It’s a story that takes place in the United States during 1953. The focus is on a suburban, stay-at-home mother who keeps mysteriously blacking out and begins to have these horrible nightmares.
"With the support of her husband, she is determined to figure out the cause of these blackouts and to interpret the vicious nightmares that relentlessly haunt her every time she closes her eyes, all while simultaneously caring for her son and struggling daily with the Gender stereotypes many women had to deal with back in post WWII America.
