"Hyaena" is the new, long-waited album from Italian progressive death metal legends Sadist. The album is set for release on October 16th via Scarlet Records.
The album was produced and mixed by Tommy Talamanca at Nadir Music Studios in Genova, Italy and is a compelling mix of the band's traditional death metal and progressive influences with ethnic and tribal sounds, centered around an intriguing concept about one of Africa's most fascinating predators, whose legend says is ridden by the devil.
"Hyaena" is without any doubt the band's most mature, diverse and experimental album to date, in which every detail has been meticulously looked after both musically and visually. The artwork will be created by painter Luca Orecchia and booklet design by Alex Del Bono. The cover, track list and a video for the first single "The Lonely Mountain" will be released soon.
The album also features a guest appearance by percussionist Jean N’Diaye, who will also follow the band on stage on the next tour. Stay tuned for more information. More...

Onheil has been confirmed to play the highly acclaimed open air festival Stonehenge in the Netherlands. Other bands that will be attending are Austrian black/death metallers Belphegor, Italian Thrashers Sadist and German Melodic Death Metallers Burden Of Grief. This will be the only live show Onheil is going to do the coming months. At the Stonehengefestival a recordlabel/concertpromoter-only promo CD will be on sale, especially for the die-hard fans who can't wait for the next album to be recorded later this year. This will be a one-time only sale, which means the promo CD won't be available anywhere else.
The promo CD, called "Razor," features four totally new songs and a re-recorded version of "As Hope Dies," Onheil's 2007 single and videoclip. According to singer/guitarist Amok: "The new material will probably surprise a lot of people as it's quite different from our older stuff. Diversity is what we are aiming for with our next album. The songs are faster, more furious and more agressive than even before. Yet we have mixed this with more melodies and slower parts. Also the fact that we now have 2 lead vocalists and 3 guitarists gives us more possibilities to create something original."
Please feel free to publish this information on your website, in your magazine or in any other media. A pressphoto and the promocd cover can be found on our mediapage( http://www.onheil.nl/media/ ).
You can check out the titletrack of "Razor" on the Onheil MySpace and watch their video for "As Hope Dies" below: More...
