The cover artwork has today been revealed for "Mondoscuro," the announced EP co-starring Cadaveria and Necrodeath, both as distinct bands and as authors of new songs that are composed and played together.
The EP will contain six tracks: two brand new and co-written songs, two covers (one of The Beatles and one of Type O Negative) and two unusual “exchange of roles” that will see Cadaveria reinterpreting a classic by Necrodeath and Necrodeath performing a Cadaveria hit.
Among other surprises of "Mondoscuro" is the participation of Lindsay Schoolcraft from Cradle Of FIlth as special guest on vocals. The release of "Mondoscuro" through the Black Tears of Death label is expected later this summer. More...
"Mondoscuro" will be the title of the EP involving Cadaveria and Necrodeath, currently in the studio together to complete the mix of what promises to be the most diabolically unusual release of 2016.
The title refers to the cinematographic genre "Mondo film" of explicit documentaries, born in the 60s and depicting sensational, bloody and shocking scenes. "Mondoscuro" also clearly recalls the Mondocane project, a collaboration of Necrodeath and Schizo from which the album "Mondocane: Project One" was born in 1989.
"Mondoscuro" will not be a normal split, but a joint partnership that will see the two bands interacting strongly, through a track-list that alternates new songs to covers and that will include many identity exchanges. The EP will be released in a few months via Black Tears of Death. Stay tuned for more details! More...
Legendary Italian black thrashers Necrodeath released the new music video "Wrath." The song is taken from the upcoming new album "The 7 Deadly Sins," the first since 2011's "Idiosyncrasy" and eleventh in the band's thirty year career. The album drops on May 13th through Scarlet Records.
Drummer Peso commented the song: "'Wrath' is one of the most brutal, fast and uncompromising songs we have ever written. In a way, we have gone back to our roots. This song will definetely give you an idea how the album sounds: 100% Necrodeath. 100% Hell!"

Black/thrashers Necrodeath are set to release their new album "Idiosyncrasy" on Scarlet Records. This new effort consists of one single 40 minute long track. Drummer Peso has once again written the majority of the music, this time with a big help from guitarist Pier Gonella, whose importance within the band's dynamics is constantly increasing. Singer Flegias and Peso are co-authors of the lyrical concept, inspired by the eternal conflict between good and evil and the struggle towards reaching interior peace against all odds.
"Idiosyncrasy" was recorded at Outer Sound Studios in Rome, Italy and Music Art Studios in Rapallo, Italy and mixed by Giuseppe Orlando (Novembre). The artwork, inspired by Quentin Tarantino's classic movie "Reservoir Dogs," has been made by Nerve Design (Nile, Threshold, Vision Divine, Bulldozer). Leif Jensen (Dew-Scented) is credited as a special guest on vocals. A trailer for the album is available below.
