Thorngoth has announced that new album "Schwarz-Karg-Kalt" is officially due out April 12th, 2013, and the band is now offering a song from the release for free download.

Thorngoth has checked in with the following announcement about self-releasing a new album early next year:
"Big News! After we were looking for the best way to release our new album 'Schwarz-Karg-Kalt' the last few months, we decided to release the album by ourselves.
"This entails no restrictions concerning the availability of the album. Before 'Schwarz-Karg-Kalt' will be released, we will announce where you can buy the album.
"We can't announce a release date yet, but it should be about February 2013. At first we want to reveal the artwork and the tracklist of 'Schwarz-Karg-Kalt.' Samples can be expected in January, at the latest in February." More...
German thrashers Mortal Infinity will perform at this year's Castle Invasion Metal Open Air, which takes place August 17th and 18th at Burg Frauenstein in Altheim, Ausgtria. Germany's Thorngoth has issued the following announcement about delays in the release of the "Schwarz-Karg-Kalt" album:
"In February we announced to expect some samples of our upcoming album 'SCHWARZ-KARG-KALT' in May. The album isn't finished yet and we're still working on it. We will upload those samples on our sites ASAP."
The band also commented on canceling a previously announced festival appearance:
"We're saddened to announce that we have to cancel the show at Zwergenaufstand 2012 Festival due urgent professional reasons."

"This Friday we will start to record our fourth full length album 'SCHWARZ-KARG-KALT.' We're free from time pressure, so the recording will be approximately finished in March/April.

"At present we're rehearsing for the fourth full length album, which probably will be called 'SCHWARZ-KARG-KALT.'
"We've scheduled the recording of the album for February 2012. Thus we'll again produce the album by ourselves, that's just an approximate date.
"'SCHWARZ-KARG-KALT' contains the darkest songs Thorngoth has written so far. Yet it also takes Thorngoth's style a step further into a more progressive type of black metal."
