Belgian experimental death and black metal band Emptiness has unveiled new details about upcoming album "Not For Music," which was recorded at Blackout Studio, produced by Jeordie White, and mixed by Sean Beavan.
"Not For Music" will be released by Season of Mist worldwide on January 20th. Pre-orders for the album are available now at the Season of Mist E-Shop.
Emptiness is also streaming a first new track off album - check out "Meat Heart" in the player below. Regarding the track, Emptiness comments:
"Do you honestly think that your emotions make you an individual being? The loss of a loved one, the memories of a past life, everything here exists so you confront your own egocentricity. 'Meat Heart' is a necessary setting for the dreaded self-reflecting voyage that awaits you. It is 'Not for Music,' it is about light and darkness."

Season of Mist just signed a record deal with Emptiness, with the Belgian squad due to release a new full-length next year. Regarding the signing, Emptiness comments:

Belgium's oppressive death metallers Emptiness, featuring members of Enthroned, have released a video for the track "It and I," taken from their newest full-length "Error." The video, which was shot in the band's own Blackout Studios, can be viewed below. "Error" is now available on Dark Descent Records, featuring nine tracks of death/black noise with a layout done by Brussels-based Blackout Media>
Belgian band Emptiness is set to release it's third full-length album, "Error," through Dark Descent in May/June of 2012. This album is the long-awaited follow up to 2007's "Oblivion." The band is streaming the title track from "Error," which can be listened to right here. Emptiness has also posted up a video for the song "Deafer" which is featured below.
Come December 2011, Ukrainian black metallers Balfor will embark on a trek across European territories alongside Belgian blackened death metallers Emptiness on the "Under The Colours Of Death" European tour 2011.
Special appearances during the "Under The Colours Of Death" European tour include Poland's Christ Agony (3rd December - 5th December 2011) and Swiss act Stortregn (18th December - 24th December 2011).
