Nitrogods Posts "Rancid Rock" Video

The first single "Rancid Rock" taken from upcoming Nitrogods album "Roadkill BBQ" is available today and can be heard via a music video below. "Rancid Rock" is the opening track of the album and makes clear what to expect from this true rock 'n roll trio.

Nitrogods recorded 14 tracks for the album, starting with "Rancid Rock," playing a boogie on the title track dedicated to Rick Parfitt, and giving the slide guitar extravaganza on "My Love's A Wirebrush."

Furthermore, the band digs deep into music history on "Where Have The Years Gone," an unashamed homage to The Who. Guitarist Henny Wolter comments: "Oimel and Klaus saw the band during their final tour and where absolutely awed. That's why we simply had to record this number." More...

Nitrogods Releasing "Roadkill BBQ"

"Roadkill BBQ" is a musical homage to all the dead and living rock gods of Motörhead, Status Quo, and The Who. Rock'n Roll and boogie do not have to be re-invented, they just have to be played properly, say the Nitrogods and the guys do so, like no other band these days.

A good dozen of new songs by the German three-piece are going straight forward and they are unstoppable like a burning freight train without brakes. "Roadkill BBQ" will be available worldwide via Steamhammer / SPV as download, CD, and vinyl editions on May 26th, 2017.

Henny Wolter (guitar, Nitrogods) comments: "We are very proud on our new album. We are so dämn' close to the bands' live energy like never before." More...

Nitrogods Signs With SPV/Steamhammer

SPV/Steamhammer has closed a worldwide deal with the German Nitrogods. The release dates for the band's self-titled debut album are as follows:

Europe February 27th 2012
Germany February 24th 2012
USA / Canada - early March 2012

A statement from the band's publicist reads as follows:

"No more endless studio fakes, sound samples, artificial drum overdubs and computer-controlled corrections of suboptimal lead vocals. The time has come to return to the true values of rock music, namely honesty, solid craftsmanship and real lifeblood. To cut a long story short: the time has come for NITROGODS! The motto of this spectacular new rock trio: three men, three corners, and down-to-earth no-bullshit rock'n'roll!

"The band may still be unfamiliar to the public at large, but the three members are renowned musicians with illustrious histories to look back on. Guitarist Henny Wolter founded Thunderhead in 1988, played with Primal Fear, respectively Sinner for number of years and was part of the Rock Meets Classic tour band. Drummer Klaus Sperling (Freedom Call) was also with Primal Fear for a long time. And at the epicentre of the Nitrogods soundquake is a heavyweight who is impressive in every respect: Oimel Larcher, a bear of a musician whose bass performance stands for sheer power and whose voice unmistakably reflects countless litres of beer and whiskey. 'I wanted to return to playing the music that I love,' says Henny Wolter, 'and that only works if you play it with your best friends.' More...
