Ottawa, ON's melodic death thrashers Chariots of The Gods have announced they will be performing at this year’s Drummondville Metal Fest V on February 9th, 2013, with Quebec's top metal talents Cryptopsy (Montreal), Ghoulunatics (Montreal), Bookakee (Montreal), 101 Proof (Montreal), Trollheims (Trois-Rivieres), Odium (Walkerton, ON) and L’Habit Me Suce Le Moine (Drummondville). Chariots of the Gods will also be performing in Montreal, QC the following week on Feb 16th, 2013, with Burning The Oppressor.
"With our album being released soon, we look forward to playing it live at Drummond Metalfest 5, along with playing with incredible bands, in front of one of the best crowds in the province of Quebec," comments vocalist Renaud Jobin.
The band is set to release their full length album, "Tides of War," on Tuesday, January 29th, 2013, and unleashed their second single, "Unbound," featuring guest vocals by Aleksi Sihvonen of Norther, which can be heard at this location. Montreal's quirkiest progressive grind metal band Bookakee is streaming almost all five songs from its "Invasion of the Depraved" EP over on YouTube. The band self-released this EP earlier and has been streaming the tracks for a while, but recently released it on the Oregon NetLabel Torn Flesh Records. Bookakee invites its fans to check out the full EP at this location. Bookakee will be appearing at Bar Le Trash in Saint Hyacinthe, Quebec with Beneath The Massacre, Self Collapse and Teramobil on June 1st. Check out an upload of "Bookakee Blast" from the EP below.
Phil Langelier, vocalist for Montreal fantasy grind metal band Bookakee, has designed the artwork for the Trois Rivieres Metal Fest Compilation #11 CD, along with the t-shirts for the event. The Metal Fest took place on October 14th and 15th, and the compilation has 38 bands on it, ranging from Annihilator to Unbreakable Hatred.
