Candlelight Records is proud to announce the signing of thrash metal band Nuclear from Santiago, Chile. The label comments:
"Formed in 2003, Nuclear is one of the most dynamic South American metal bands of the new era. Nuclear’s musical career started under the name Escoria in 1995 but it wasn’t until 1997 when the first recording was released. After disbanding in 2001, Escoria’s name turned to Nuclear and the original members Puente, Haussmann and Sudy found a steady line up which is kept up to date.
"Heavily influenced in ‘80s thrash and old school death metal, Nuclear has released four studio albums and toured in several countries sharing the stage with acts such as Testament, Forbidden, Voivod, Grave, Hirax, 1349, Joey Belladonna, Destruction, Brujeria, Hate Eternal, Absu, At The Gates and many others.
"Nuclear’s best-selling album 'Jehovirus' (2010) was mastered in the UK by metal music engineer Russ Russell (Napalm Death, Dimmu Borgir, Evile, etc.). Nuclear's EP 'Apatrida' was released in 2012 via Sick Bangers and distributed in Europe through Code7 / PHD. More...

Chilean thrash metal band Nuclear has released “Apatrida” via Digmetalworld Records in the U.S. and Sick Bangers Metal Label & Distro in Chile, available on July 25th in Digital and Digipack format, and by late October in Gatefold LP. You may listen to the entire new five-song EP at Digmetalworld, or stream it below.
The new album "Apatrida" was produced by Sebastian Puente and Francisco Haussmann at Audio Custom Studios in Santiago, Chile. The art work was done by Claudio Botarro, who was in charge of translating the band’s idea of a controversial and direct message about the current Chilean political status. Members of the band commented on the new album:
“We tried to bring a powerful concept using iconic figures of Chilean political history. The same old factions fighting over who has the power and money, as true vultures. For those who have no intention of making things right, this is our message. The band has always been straightforward and up front in its albums and we didn’t make an exception this time”
“We had this idea to put out an EP which we think has more flexibility in terms of composition and sound. It is very aggressive material and lyric-wise it has a strong political content. We know for sure it will appeal to those who like our music," stated the guitarists Sebastian and Francisco.
The "Apatrida" promotional tour has already confirmed the following dates:
July 25 @ Teatro Caupolican, Santiago CL (w/ At The Gates)
August 18 @ Club 334, Santiago CL (w/ Poema Arcanvs)
August 31 @ San Luis Potosi, Mexico (w/ Malevolent Creation y Absu)
September 01 @ Mexico DF, Mexico (Ultrametal Festival w/ Malevolent Creation, Absu, Hate Eternal)
