Thee Orakle Disbanding

Portugal's Thee Orakle has issued the following announcement about deciding to call it a day:

"We want to inform our friends, fans, and followers that the band Thee Orakle officially came to an end.

"The decision happened this week, but it was only the conclusion of an ending that had already been planned in last September. For so long on a standby mode, there were many different feelings from artistic incompatibilities and even personals between its members, negativity involved or even bad luck and obstacles that seemed to follow any of our steps. But what has to be... it is!

"We want to thank all of those who have directly or indirectly stood by the band, not forgetting who was part of this project, the Recital Records and Ethereal Sound Works for having faith on us and published our albums, to all of those who worked with us and that we met over the years and that are undoubtedly many value people!

"Gone are two original albums, a demo and an EP, and a respectful and proud curriculum in Portugal, playing at almost every 'big stage!' Thank you all." More...

Thee Orakle Streaming New Song "Rescue Of Mind"

Portugal's Thee Orakle has posted a track online from the band's upcoming second album "Smooth Comforts False," which will see release in February of 2012 via Ethereal Sound Works.

Check out the song "Rescue of Mind" by heading over to Thee Orakle's Facebook profile or MySpace page. "Rescue of Mind" also includes guest participation from Fabio Almeida on saxophone.

Recorded in UltraSound Studios in Braga (PT), with production and mastering from Daniel Cardoso, the album features appearances by Yossi Sassi of Orphaned Land, Adolfo Luxuria Canibal from the Portuguese act Mão Morta, and Marco Benevento of the Italian group The Foreshadowing.

Thee Orakle Streaming Teaser For New LP

Portuguese death/doom progressive metal band Thee Orakle is currently negotiating for a deal to release the band's sophomore release "Smooth Comforts False." The album was recorded in UltrasoundStudios in Braga, Portugal with producer Daniel Cardoso.

The band previously announced that guest appearances by Yossi Sassi Sa'aron (Orphaned Land), Marco Benevento (The Foreshadowing), Adolfo Luxúria Canibal (Mão Morta) were made for the release.

Orphaned Land Guitarist To Guest On Thee Orakle LP

Portuguese death/doom progressive metal band Thee Orakle is currently putting the finishing touches on "Smooth Comforts False," the band's sophomore release and follow up to "Metaphortime" (2009). The album was recorded in UltrasoundStudios in Braga, Portugal with producer Daniel Cardoso. The album is expected to be ready for release by year end.

The band announced the following guest appearances for the album:

- Yossi Sassi Sa'aron, guitarist of Israeli doom/death band Orphaned Land, will play Bouzouki in the song "Evil Dreams".

- Marco Benevento of the Italian doom metal band, The Foreshadowing, will sing on the song "Winter Threat."

- Adolfo Luxúria Canibal of Portuguese rock band Mão Morta will play trumpet on the album. More...
