Sound Storm Officially Introduces "Immortalia"

Italian symphonic metal band Sound Storm officially unveiled "Immortalia" today, the band's forthcoming sophomore release. In addition, the band announced that they have signed a worldwide deal with Scarlet Records for release of the album.

Since its inception, Sound Storm has developed its own unique blend of metal mixed with a theatrical sense of drama, which was introduced on the debut release "Twilight Opera." With "Immortalia," the band mixes an even wider range of influences with powerful guitars, symphonic choirs, gothic atmospheres and baroque melodies.

"Immortalia" was recorded, mixed and mastered at Metal House Studio by Ettore Rigotti (Disarmonia Mundi), and is an original concept album about the quest for eternal life, derived from literature, poetry and history, resulting in a collection of songs linked together by the common theme of the immortality of the soul. The artwork (shown below) was handled by Felipe Machado Franco (Blind Guardian, Rhapsody Of Fire).

"Immortalia" is scheduled for release on August 28th, 2012. Shortly after the band will support Norwegian Gothic Metal veterans Tristania on their new European tour, commencing September 13, 2012. More...
