Psyopus Announces New Bassist

Psyopus has announced that their brief search for a new bass player has come to an end. Here's a statement from the band:

"We here at the Psyopus camp are happy to announce that we have found our new bass player in the form of a Michael Horn. He is a 24 year-old freak of nature from just outside of the Washington, DC area. He graduated from The Shenandoah Conservatory with a degree in Arts Management with a minor in jazz bass along side two years of classical bass training at the instituation.

"He will now be being institutionalized into the Psyopus school of music along side the realitively new talent in the form of University of Buffalo's Percussion major, Buffalo, NY's own Jason Bauers, and the acid fucked persona of The Jefferson Plane Crash's vocalist, Fredericksburg, VA's own Harrison Christie.

"The promisingly revamped Psyopus line-up will be showcased on the road coming this November. Psyopus has four dates in the North East United States area supporting Japan's own noise rockers Melt Banana. Dates have yet to be offically announced."

The Acacia Strain Give Tour, Lineup Updates

Fresh off supporting THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD and From A Second Story Window along with labelmates LIGHT THIS CITY, Massachusetts' THE ACACIA STRAIN has returned home before hitting the road again in January and February. Vocalist Vincent Bennett has offered a bulky band update via the band's MySpace page:

"Hello everyone in heavyland. Vincent here with a large update. We haven't spoken in a while so I figured I'd bring you guys up to speed. The Daniel [Dan Daponde, guitar] has bowed out gracefully. For those of you have been asking about Daniel J. Daponde, here are your answers: due to health problems, Dan has been forced to leave his position as a badass guitar player in The Acacia Strain. We miss him a whole bunch, and we are sure you all do as well. Wish him luck in his future endeavors!"

"We are NOT currently looking for a replacement. Please stop asking. When we do end up looking for another guitarist, we will let you know. For now, here is what you might want to strive for:

1. At LEAST one year of tour experience as a musician
2. Commitment to us and the road, we are never home.
3. A good attitude!
4. Willingness and the ability to write music.

"There is more, but like I said...We aren?t really looking right now. DL [Daniel Laskiewicz] is doing pretty well on his own.

"The tour with Through The Eyes of The Dead, From A Second Story Window, and Light This City was fucking amazing! Thanks to all who came out and had a good time! See you again in January/February! Speaking of which, we are touring in Jan/Feb with Job For A Cowboy, Psyopus, See You Next Tuesday and Daath! DO WHATEVER YOU CAN TO MAKE IT TO ONE OF THESE SHOWS. It?s going to be bruuuuuutal. See you there!"

Our tour with The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza and Home Pharmacy has been going well and we have been so appreciative of everyone's support from city to city.
