Face Down Announce New Guitarist

FACE DOWN, the reactivated Swedish outfit featuring former THE HAUNTED singer Marco Aro, has issued the following update:

"After a very successful show at Ekens Gård we have decided to make Rickard Dahlberg (CONSTRUCDEAD) to a permanent replacement for Joacim Carlsson as the new guitarist in FACE DOWN.

"We are currently working with the last songs on our forthcoming album, 'Mass Murder Agenda'. Hopefully we will enter the studio early next year."

FACE DOWN earlier in the year uploaded a brand new song, entitled "Irreversible", to the group's MySpace page. The pre-production demo, which was completed in late 2006, was the first studio recording to feature new drummer Christofer Barkensjö (KAAMOS, BLACKSHINE).

Face Down Part Ways With Guitarist

FACE DOWN, the reactivated Swedish outfit featuring former THE HAUNTED singer Marco Aro, has parted ways with guitarist Joacim Carlsson. Joacim's statement on the matter reads as follows:

"So, all things must come to an end and this is the end of the FACE DOWN road for me."

"For the past months my interest and motivation has waned considerably and finally I came to the tough conclusion that I shouldn't be in a band when I can't dedicate myself 100%. Since neither I nor the band want to do things half-assed, the best solution for everybody is for me to step down from my position as guitar player of FACE DOWN. Simple as that."

"Needless to say, there will be no mud-slinging or harsh words from either party, as this is a mutual decision."

"I wish the guys the best of luck with the new album (like they need it, they have the talent to make it happen)." More...
