Quebec City-based death metal trio Unbreakable Hatred recently joined the expanding roster of extreme metal powerhouse Unique Leader Records. Comments the band:
"We're extremely excited to announce that Unbreakable Hatred signed a multi-album deal with Unique Leader Records! We are looking forward to working with a label that has stood the test of time while continuing to expand their diverse death metal roster. We are honored to be a part of the Unique Leader family and we are ready for what is coming up. With our team behind us, we can't wait to see Unbreakable Hatred grow."
Forged in 2008 by guitarist Philippe Drouin, his drummer brother Dominic and vocalist/bassist Simon B. Lapointe, Unbreakable Hatred spews forth a mutinous amalgam of old school death metal brutality, modern technical wizardry, and blistering groove making for relentlessly visceral sound expedition.
The band released debut full-length, "Total Chaos," in 2011 via Galy/Lacerated Enemy Records. Unbreakable Hatred will release a sophomore full-length via Unique Leader Records later this year. Further info to be announced in the coming weeks.
Hammer Smashed Radio - CKCU 93.1 FM's flagship metal program in Ottowa - has released a second annual Xmas Compilation featuring 26 tracks of underground Canadian metal. Host and Accursed Spawn/Mortor drummer Jay Cross comments:
“This year we decided to expand the compilation beyond just bands from our scene, which was really fun. Adding in Untimely Demise, Bookakee, Samskaras and Unbreakable Hatred, plus some less extreme though equally punishing bands like Alaskan and Greber, had allowed us to put together a compilation that really showcases the talent and variety of underground metal that Canada has to offer.”
Nuclear Blast has issued the following announcement about Suffocation and Origin teaming up for "The End Of Humanity" tour this coming July:
"Few bands can be credited with creating a legacy, however, legendary New York based extreme metal outfit Suffocation have done just that. For over 20 years now Suffocation have been creating music that has become the very standard by which we judge all things extreme. Their fusion of technicality, groove and sheer unrelenting brutality has been imitated but never quite duplicated. Milestone records such as Effigy of the Forgotten, Pierced from Within, and Despise the Sun have influenced a wealth of today’s best musical talents.
"Joining Suffocation is Origin, one of the most intense and technical forces of the contemporary death metal world. Origin, have returned to stake their claim as the leaders of metal’s new wave of extremity with their fifth studio effort entitled Entity. As expected, Origin continue to churn out frantic hell paced grids of metal torment, but now further compliment the arrangements with a new found propensity for churning grooves and the hook laden approach that first reared its ugly, but accessible head on the bands 2007 offering, Antithesis.
"Joined by guests Re Armed and Unbreakable Hatred, The End Of Humanity tour is all set to crush its way around Europe and destroy all in its path."
