Furor Gallico Signs To Massacre Records

Massacre Records has issued the following announcement about signing a deal with folk metal act Furor Gallico:

"'Furor Gallico' is the description that the ancient Romans gave the Celt warriors, who prepared for battle and were ready to die to defend their people and land. Furor Gallicoare the bards that bring the ancient legends of the Celtic world to life again with their folk metal!

"Their music features metal riffs with powerful growl and scream vocals that blend in with the melodic folk melodies of the violin, flutes, Celtic harp and bouzouki (a Greek lute).

"The band was formed in 2007 from an idea of Melissa (bass), Ste (guitar) and Becky (Celtic harp). They soon were joined by Pagan (voice), Marco (Drums), Oldhan (guitar), Laura (violin) and Merogaisus (whistles, bouzouki and bagpipes).

"The band recorded its first demo '390 b.c. - The Glorious Dawn' in 2008. Furor Gallico started playing gigs and in the meantime Simo became their new drummer and Mac the new bass player. In 2011 Paolo joined Furor Gallico as new whistler and Fabio became their new bass player."
