Metal Blade Records has just signed on to release I Killed the Prom Queen's recent release Music for the Recently Deceased which will hit stores all over the US and Canada on November 14th 2006. Redefining Australian metal/hardcore with an intense live show matched by none and their unique mixture of hardcore and metal, IKTPQ more than deliver an experience not yet seen within Australia, or in the States for that matter. The brand new release of their brutal sophomore album Music for the Recently Deceased was recorded in Sweden with famed metal producer's Fredrik Nordstrom and Patrik J. Sten (In Flames, Soilwork, At the Gates).
Australia outfit I Killed The Prom Queen recently signed a deal with Metal Blade Records for the release of their new album in the U.S. and Canada. Titled "Music For The Recently Deceased," the effort was recorded with producer Frederik Nordstrom (In Flames, At The Gates) and will hit stores on November 17th.
Australian metallers I Killed The Prom Queen have signed a deal with Metal Blade Records for the release of their latest opus, "Music For The Recently Deceased", in the United States of America and Canada. Music For The Recently Deceased will hit the store shelves all over the countries on the 17th of November, coinciding with the band's Fall tour with Silverstein. I Killed The Prom Queen have plans set to tour the US heavily throughout next year.
Metal For The Brain is an Australian benefit concert for the National Brain Injury Foundation and victim of brain injury, Alec Hurley. It spans three stages, 13 hours, more than 40 Aussie metal bands, and tickets are available from Ticketek for 60 Dollars, all ages. Over 18's must bring their ID to access the bar area and drink. Alcohol will not be permitted to be brought into the venue.
This year's Metal For The Brain Tour tentative line-up and set times have been officially announced. The tour has also launched a full website with more information at this location and an official forum, which was just recently launched itself. The announcement also divulged that this is to be the last ever Metal For The Brain tour, so get ready for this show to go out with an Earth-shattering 'bang'. The tour is scheduled for November 4th, at the University of Canberra Refectory.

I Killed The Prom Queen are currently on tour in support of their new album, "Music For The Recently Deceased". Tour information can be found here. The new album will be the first to feature IKTPQ's new vocalist Ed Butcher, who, as previously reported, moved to Australia to join the band after the departure of Michael Crafter near the end of January this year.
Carpathian have announced the dates for their national tour here. Joining them at selected venues across the country are Atreyu, 36 Crazyfists (as previously reported), 3, and I Killed The Prom Queen.
The full lineup for the 8th Annual New England Metal and Hardcore Festival, which is sponsored this year by ESP Guitars and Krank Amps, has been confirmed.
The three-day festival at The Palladium in Worcester, MA, will feature headliners Lacuna Coil, Black Dahlia Murder, and Between the Buried and Me on Friday, April 28. Arch Enemy, Chimaira, and Exodus will headline Saturday, April 29. Headliners for Sunday, April 30 are Gamma Ray and DragonForce.
UK-based DragonForce will be making its first-ever American appearance at the festival. Italy's Lacuna Coil and Sweden's Arch Enemy will be making return appearances at the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival, after stellar performances at the 2003 and 2002 editions of the festival.
"It's fantastic to be a part of what is quite possibly the best U.S. metal fest around!" said Arch Enemy guitarist Mike Amott. "This is our third time playing the New England Metal and Hardcore fest and it's always a pleasure. It's held in a great venue with great fans."
"It is an honor for us to be one of this year's headliners at the New England Metal and Hardcore festival," said vocalist Andrea Ferro. "We are more than ready for it. We can't wait."

Australia's I Killed The Prom Queen recently announced the addition of vocalist Ed Butcher. According to the band, "he has kindly relocated from his home in Swindon, UK to join IKTPQ, and we're extremely excited for you to hear his work on our new album." Butcher replaces singer Michael Crafter, whose acrimonious departure from the band was announced in late-January.

Massachusetts thrash band CANNAE has booked a handful of regional and national dates to support the band's latest offering, "GOLD BECOMES SACRIFICE," released in September through Prosthetic Records. The album features guest spots from producer Jason Suecof and metal legend James Murphy along the band's intense thrash sound.
CANNAE will be supporting God Forbid on a five-day run across New England, before taking off to head out with Hell Within and I Killed The Prom Queen for nearly a month. Architect will take over for I Killed The Prom Queen in December. More dates to come.

Australia's I Killed The Prom Queen have finished recording their full-length in Sweden w/ producer Frederik Nordstrom (In Flames, At the Gates, Dark Tranquility). The band is currently looking for a new label to call home. After a highly successful European tour, IKTPQ are now back on the road in the states. Look for more dates to be posted soon, but here's the latest. After Nov 14, they will join up with Cannae and Hell Within.

Australia's I Killed The Prom Queen will head to Sweden in August and September to record a new album. Tracking will take place at Studio Fredman in Gotenborg, Sweden with producer Fredrik Nordstrom (At The Gates). According to vocalist Michael Crafter, "We are really excited to be going to Sweden... Fredrik has done some amazing stuff from At The Gates, Soilwork, In Flames and tons of great metal bands." The album is expected hit streets this winter via an undisclosed label.
On July 23rd, the Cannot Afford Hellfest Fest will be taking place at Captain Tees in Harrisonburg, VA. Tickets are $12 and the show begins at 7 PM. The following bands are slated to perform:
