Bleeding Through Sets Release Date For New Album
On September 30, Bleeding Through will unleash their latest album, "Declaration." According to the press release, "'Declaration' is heavier, darker, angrier, more pissed off, faster and more epic than anything in the band's already impressive catalog."
The followup to "The Truth" (2006) and "This is Love, This is Murderous" (2003), which have sold a combined quarter of a million albums worldwide, was produced by Devin Townsend in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Contrary to earlier reports of a conceptually driven album, Bleeding Through’s latest is their most diverse offering thematically, addressing a variety of topics on tracks like "There Was a Flood," "Germany" and "Death Anxiety."
Frontman and lyricist Brandan Scheippati has written one last song based on his angry heartbreaking muse, "Sister Charlatan," which closes the album and features the first ever vocal chorus contribution from virtuoso bass player Ryan Wombacher, who also co-wrote the experimental and dark "In Loving Memory of England." Keyboardist Marta is more present than ever throughout the music, including her directing of real strings and classical instrumentation.
"Declaration" is also the first album featuring guitarist Jona Weinhofen, who joined the band over a year ago after the breakup of his former group, I Killed The Prom Queen.
Bleeding Through is on tour with Bullet For My Valentine throughout the US and will support them in Europe through December as well.
Bleeding Through recently had a special edition of "The Truth" release, entitled "The Complete Truth." This deluxe version contains the full album "The Truth," plus unreleased bonus songs and a DVD of a full live show, professionally filmed on tour with Marilyn Manson and Slayer in the Summer of 2007.

New Australian Metal Scene Documentary In Making
Brutal Australia is a documentary into the contemporary Australian metal scene. The projects' myspace page discusses Brutal Australia:
"The heavy music scene has undergone a massive transformation in recent years with an influx of amazing bands, new styles, a new image and an incredible level of acceptance. Now is Australia’s time! The revolution has begun! What were once just a bunch of underground bands rocking out to an empty room at their local pub are now outselling some of Australia's biggest pop stars in both ticket and album sales. Brutal Australia is an in depth documentary showing the scene from the bands perspective, with interviews from the most influential Metal, Hardcore, Metalcore, Hard Rock, Death Metal and Tech bands in the country. This film is a must see for not only all heavy music fans, but also those that may not understand the music, the people or the lifestyle."
Directed by Will Gaffney and produced by Raw Sound Industries, Brutal Australia will see release sometime in November of this year, and will feature Parkway Drive, I Killed The Prom Queen, Sunk Loto, Karnivool, Daysend, Psycroptic, and Five Star Prison Cell. You can visit the projects' Myspace page or Brutal Australia's offical website for more information.
Bury Your Dead Comments On Singer's Departure
Boston metal/hardcore outfit BURY YOUR DEAD has issued a statement regarding the departure of vocalist Michael Crafter (formerly of the the Australian metal band I KILLED THE PROM QUEEN) less than two months after he was named the group's new lead singer.
Commented the band: "With all the recent hurdles BURY YOUR DEAD has faced, we are still forging ahead. Michael Crafter sacrificed a lot to come to the U.S. and help out on this tour, but unfortunately for him he had to go home with short notice. This does not stop or slow us down in any way. We are completing this tour with the vocal contribution of Myke Terry, formerly of the band CASSIUS. We have not, and will not, cancel any shows on the remainder of this tour. These are trying times for BURY YOUR DEAD but we make these changes to further improve the quality and longevity of this band. Thank you everybody for your support. We will see you shortly."
BURY YOUR DEAD is in the middle of the "Don't Call It A Comeback" headlining tour with SUICIDE SILENCE, STICK TO YOUR GUNS and SINCE THE FLOOD.
New Bury Your Dead Singer Leaves Band
Lambgoat reports that they received an email stating that Bury Your Dead singer Michael Crafter has left the band. This information has yet to be confirmed, but here's a statement attributed to Crafter:
"Since I got to the USA I knew I had a lot of weight on my shoulders. I wanted to prove myself so much and be a good frontman for BYD. It’s been 2 months since I got to the USA and all I have wanted is to be home with my friends and this stops me from giving my all. I met a lot of great people here. My time with the band was short and was a lot of fun and a great experience. Eric, Bubble, Slim and Mark became my new mates and I'll forever be grateful I was given this chance. This tour has opened my eyes up to a lot of things and being in a band in another country isn’t what I want to do. From practicing and playing shows with BYD will always be a great memory and something I’m glad I gave a shot. But my home is Australia and home is where the heart is. Thanks again."
Bleeding Through Confirms New Guitarist
Bleeding Through has officially announced the departure of guitarist Scott Danough, stating: "As some of you may have heard, there has been a member change in Bleeding Through, the first member change in over three years. Scott Danough is no longer a member of Bleeding Through. We felt that we had grown apart and it was time for both parties to move on. We wish him the best."
As publicized yesterday amidst news of I Killed The Prom Queen's break-up, IKTPQ guitarist Jona Weinhofen will replace Danough.
Meanwhile, Bleeding Through continues to write material for their next release.

"As some of you may have already heard Ed Butcher, our current vocalist has decided to leave the band. His decision was entirely of his own accord and came as a bit of a shock to us however we must respect his decision to return home to the UK.
