Abnormal Thought Patterns Posts New Video

Progressive instrumental act Abnormal Thought Patterns, the band founded by Cynthesis members Jasun Tipton and Troy Tipton, has posted a music video for the new track "Velocity and Acceleration: Movement 7." The track appears on the upcoming full length debut "Manipulation Under Anesthesia," which is due out on June 25th via Lifeforce Records.

The video editing and production was done by Wayne Joyner of The Ghost Network. The track listing for the album is:

Abnormal Thought Patterns Shooting Music Videos

Californian instrumental crushers Abnormal Thought Patterns are currently working on three videos with Wayne Joyner of Ghost Network that take up the whole “Velocity and Acceleration 4-8" off upcoming Lifeforce Records debut album “Manipulation Under Anesthesia.”

Abnormal Thought Patterns Streaming New Track

California progressive instrumental act Abnormal Thought Patters is streaming the new track "Velocity and Acceleration: Movement 5." The song appears on the debut full length LP "Manipulation Under Anesthesia," which is scheduled for release on June 14th (G/A/S and worldwide digital release), June 17th (Rest of EU) and June 25th (North America) via Lifeforce Records. Abnormal Thought Patterns Signs With Lifeforce

Instrumental act Abnormal Thought Patterns has now inked a deal with Lifeforce Records to release a new album. You can also still stream the band's previous self-titled EP at this location. Lifeforce Records comments:

"We are proud to announce the signing of Northern Californian progressive metal instrumentalists Abnormal Thought Patterns to the Lifeforce Records roster.

"In 2008, Jasun wrote and recorded the 12-minute instrumental 'Velocity and Acceleration,' the track that would ultimately lead to the founding of Abnormal Thought Patterns. Upon hearing the song, Troy expressed his desire to put together an instrumental band. The Tipton brothers looked no further than longtime drummer and friend Mike Guy to provide the rhythmic foundation for ATP. Abnormal Thought Patterns Streaming Debut EP

Abnormal Thought Patterns has released its debut self-titled EP today, November 29th, via the band's own, newly-formed CynNormal Lab Recordings. Abnormal Thought Patterns is comprised of the core and founding members of heralded technical act Zero Hour, the band was formed by Northern California-based brothers Jasun and Troy Tipton (both also of Cynthesis) and Mike Guy. In order to complete the live sound, the trio recruited longtime friend and talented guitarist Richard Sharman, a student of Jasun's for many years.

The four-part epic "Velocity and Acceleration" and bass-only track "Ulnar Nerve Damage" were mixed by talented producer/engineer Dino Alden (Marty Friedman, Zero Hour), but due to Dino's carpal surgeries the band reached out to Matt LaPlant (Sikth, Nonpoint) to mix the tracks "The Machine Within" and "Electric Sun." The EP was mastered by Alan Douches (Between The Buried and Me, The Dillinger Escape Plan) and the cover artwork commissioned to Erick "Wurm" Pollard.

"This is the 1st movement of the song 'Velocity and Acceleration' by Abnormal Thought Patterns. The song 'Velocity and Acceleration' is broken up in 4 parts as the full song clocks in over 12 minutes.
