Japanese brutal and eccentric orchestra Vampillia has announced a December European tour with support from the equally eccentric VMO project. The tour kicks off on December 7th in Munich, Germany and includes a special performance at Incubate Festival in Tilburg. Check out the full tour itinerary below.
The Osaka-based group will be touring in support of latest album, “Alchemic Heart,” which was released in 2014 via Temple Of Torturous and features contributions from Swans’ Jarboe, Inswarm and noise-master Merzbow.

The bizarro Japanese outfit Vampillia today releases a new demo song online titled "Blackest Ever Black Metal." The band simply states, "It sounds like Aphex Twin fucked by black metal."

Candlelight Records today announces the singing of Japanese experimental metal band Vampillia. The label comments:
"The Japanese metal scene is well known for its imaginative and often eccentric approach. It is rich and varied with new alternative and experimental bands appearing and collaborating often. Breaking through the crowds is Osaka-based 'brutal orchestra' Vampillia.
"Trying to put Vampillia into a neat genre box is almost impossible but when you factor in original band member Yoshikawa Toyohito is an ex-member of Japanese experimental noise rock collective Boredoms, you begin to get a sense of the sublime madness contained within Vampillia’s Candlelight Records debut 'Some Nightmares Take You Aurora Rainbow Darkness' which was produced and recorded by Ben Frost at Greenhouse studios, well-known as Bjork and Sigur Ros’s studio in Iceland.
