Accursed Spawn Posts Studio Webisode

Canadian death metal outfit Accursed Spawn has released a webisode from the drum recording sessions for upcoming EP, "Putrid," which can be seen below.

Jay Cross (drums) commented on the video, “We had some footage laying around from the 'Putrid' drum recordings so Luke [vocals] and I decided to edit it together and post it up on YouTube. Half the material is the standard drum recording stuff, and the other half gives people a flavor for what recording with us is actually like. In other words, empty beer bottles and stupid jokes. We're a pretty deep band.”

The "Putrid" EP will be independently released on October 28th, marking the band's second EP since 2012's "Engendering a Sociopath." You can hear the song "Burned Into Sterility" at this location.

Accursed Spawn will be performing next at Montreal's Metal Academie on October 22nd, as well as the second installment of Ottawa's Extreme Halloween on November 1st. More...

Accursed Spawn Streaming New Song

Following the song's premiere on Hammer Smashed Radio, Accursed Spawn has released "Burned into Sterility," the first single from the death metal outfit's upcoming EP "Putrid." Check it out below.

The track can be downloaded at SoundCloud here, and vocalist Luke Wargasm commented on forthcoming EP:

“This is a recording that I think we can all really be proud of as a band. We came together tighter than ever before, and really worked together on structuring all the songs and playing to everyone's strengths, as well as this maniacial thing we've cultivated that we like to call the 'Accursed Spawn' sound. The single pretty much speaks for itself. We're bringing the heavy slam, the pounding drum, and the ripping solo to the party." More...

Accursed Spawn Releases New Video Clip

Ottawa’s own maniacal ‘violent death metal' masters Accursed Spawn have released their first-ever video for the song "Dismember the Informant" from the group's 2010 demo. The video, created by singer Luke Wargasm, features a collage of war footage from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. The video can be viewed below. Accursed Spawn also commented:

“We’ve always been a DIY band, so I thought to myself, why the fuck not just make our own video? I thought the war footage was a perfect match, given of course the lyrical content of the song, but also the gritty atmosphere it portrays. All the footage used was filmed by actual soldiers themselves, making it a bit lo-fi, but I think this gives the video a powerful feel. I mean common, the sight of neon green night vision while fireballs light up in the sky over baghdad during a guitar solo? What more could you want!"

The band is currently gearing up for live performances, having spent much of the summer writing new material following the release of "Engendering a Sociopath" in early 2012 during a short stint with New York legends Malignancy.
