The promoters of the New England Metal & Hardcore Festival, currently gearing up for the sixteenth consecutive annual run of the event this April, have finalized this year's lineup with the addition of Detroit party crew Wilson.
Additionally, three local bands won the recent Break Thru Music's Battle for Metal Fest competitions for a chance to perform at the event. This now adds Death Rattle to the Thursday lineup, Carnivora to Friday's, and Acius to the bill on Saturday.
This year's festival takes place from April 17th - 19th in Worcester, MA and ticket info is available right here. The finalized lineup is as follows:

San Antonio's Silence the Messenger has issued the following announcement about canceling upcoming tour dates:
"We are really sorry to say that due to the intensity of the east coast storms, the remaining shows on our tour with My Enemies & I and Every Passing Dream have been cancelled.

When thinking of music that comes from Texas, most would think of any number of country artists, or the almighty Pantera. It's time to think outside the box and make way for Silence the Messenger's brand of heavy music.
The band has now signed with Standby Records, and a video announcement about the deal is available below. The following press release was also issued:

Wretched has officially announced the band's upcoming sixth headlining tour to date, which will feature support from Huntress and Silence the Messenger. The tour kicks off in Fort Collins, Colo., on July 17th, 2012 and ends at Hooligan’s on August 10th, in Jacksonville, N.C.
Wretched is currently on tour slaying audiences with King Conquer and will continue into Canada joining thrash metallers 3 Inches of Blood before starting the headlining tour with Huntress. Silence the Messenger, the death metal band hailing from San Antonio, TX, will kick off the “Road to Retribution” tour on April 17th with Within Chaos. The tour will take place from April 17th to May 1st playing in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and Louisiana. “It’s our first tour for the release of the CD [Buried],” says lead vocalist Steve Tinnon, “it’s also the first tour with our new booking agency."
