Serianna Calling It Quits

Serianna's Chris Ferraro has posted the following message online about the band deciding to call it quits:

"You don't have to understand, all we hope is you can respect it. Serianna has collectively decided to no longer tour, perform, or write music.

"When we started this band seven years ago, we had one goal; To play music we loved, for people we loved. We never set out to change the face of music, or do anything that has not been done. We never had any intentions or goals of being a famous band swimming in a pool full of money. We truly had a love for music that we wanted to share with anyone willing to listen. Being young and invincible, you don't think about the rest of the world. Essentially what you immerse yourself in ends up being your 'world' and the rest just passes you by.

"As most of us are now into our mid 20's we are finding that we value our families, loved ones, relationships, and educations more than traveling and playing shows. Nutting, Little Kris, and I will all be attending school shortly. I start classes in one month and am in an amazing relationship with the most incredible girl I could ever ask for. I honestly could not be more excited to start a new chapter of my life. Rocky has recently started a very good job that doesn't allow him to travel anymore. And Jimmy is busy getting dominated by me in Halo, haha. Really though, Jimmy is an incredible bassist and person, one of the most genuine I have met. I actually don't know his immediate plans, but I'm sure any of us will be willing to talk about any of this stuff if you reached out to us on our personal pages. This 'break up' is not about us accepting failure by any means. It's us saying that we are ready to do other things with our lives and see where they take us.

"HUGE thank you to our manager Nate. We honestly would not have done a single thing if it wasn't for your guidance and support. You're incredible at what you do, and none of your hard work never went unnoticed. Shawn Spann, You were one of my idols growing up. I know we were only able to work together for a month or two but, your guest spot on our CD is one of my favorite moments as an artist. Thank you so much for believing in us. That alone makes my time as a touring musician worth it. More...

Serianna Finishes New Album

Serianna just wrapped up time in studio for new album "Define Me" with producer Josh Schroeder, who is responsible for new albums from For Today and The Color Morale.

The 13 song album "Define Me" will be released on August 13th, 2013via Bullet Tooth through Ingrooves/Fontana. The first music video for "Exist To Outlive" will premiere on VEVO this July and the band kicks off a U.S. tour with In Dying Arms on August 6th.

Guitarist and songwriter Kris Meyer-Ruef commented on the new album: "The Inheritors record was almost 3 years in the making by the time we had the pleasure of releasing it on Bullet Tooth. It seems only natural that at least 4 years since the birth of that record, Serianna is due for serious growth. Over the past year, we have gone through a major line up change and thought hard about the future of our band. It was pretty apparent to any fan of our band before that we were heavily rooted in metal core, influenced by the bands that could riff the tightest and fastest. We operated like a well oiled machine, tight and uniform. But that was just the problem: we operated like a machine. This new record has given us all the opportunity to pour our hearts into our music in a way that we felt was impossible before. Every one of us has a voice, and you will hear that through every song on this record. We went heavier, groovier, darker and more honest. I know deep down that kids are still looking for something real to fall in love with. We genuinely believe these songs are just that." More...

Serianna Releases New Single

Serianna is excited to announce that new single "Deadweight" is available everywhere today. You can check out the song in the player below. The band is busy writing a second album for Bullet Tooth, but wanted to give fans an early taste with a brand new song to tie them over until early 2013.

Singer and lyricist Chris Nutting comments, "This song is a precursor to the new album we are currently writing, in a sense of what style we are adapting into. Deadweith is all about cutting out the people who hold you down in life, and being happy at the end of the day with who you are and what you stand for."

Guitarist and songwriter Kris Meyer-Ruef said, "We couldn't be more excited to be releasing a new song, I think we all felt it was time to breathe new life into our music and this song is a definite creative departure for us. We got to go heavier, bigger and more soulful than our music has ever been, but this is only the beginning!" More...

Serianna Signs To Bullet Tooth

Bullet Tooth has issued the following announcement about inking a record deal with Serianna:

"Bullet Tooth is excited to announce the signing of Serianna from Madison, WI! This young quintet has been hard at work recording their debut album entitled 'Inheritors' with producer Joel Wanasek at JTW Studios, due out on Bullet Tooth this coming summer. Fans can get a preview of the song 'Fragments' (Pre Production) at their Facebook page. The band has also made their own signing announcement video that you can watch at their YouTube page.

"Serianna is navigating past its peers in pursuit of something worth preserving, systematically through the muddy gridlock of the current independent music scene. This metal-core squad continues to refine their unique sound while maintaining a solid reputation as one of the region’s most exciting and energetic live acts. Boasting determination as their greatest attribute, Serianna formed in late 2006 as merely high school friends with a bonded passion for heavy music. The lineup was solidified in 2009 when Chicago native Chris Nutting signed on as the band's front man. Nutting quickly made his presence known contributing his raw and emotional vocal abilities and bringing Serianna to a previously unreached tier of musicianship. More...
