Ozzy And The Scorpions Confirmed For Hellfest 2011

The organisers of France's biggest metal festival, Hellfest, has announced that four huge names have been added to next year's bill. Heavy metal godfather Ozzy Osbourne will be taking the stage, as well as German hard rock legends the Scorpions, who will be retiring after they complete their touring schedule. Also confirmed for the festival are Swedish progressive metal favourites Opeth and Black Label Society, which features former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Zakk Wylde. There are also more new confirmations in the form of German thrash legends Kreator and Sodom, Norwegian black metal veterans Mayhem, Anathema, Bolt Thrower and Therion. The festival will take place in Clisson, France from June 17th-19th.

First Batch Of Bands Confirmed For Hellfest 2011

The organisers of France's biggest metal festival, Hellfest, has announced the first round of bands that will be performing at next year's version of the event. Among them include hardcore punk icons Bad Brains and The Exploited, along with many metal veterans such as Mayhem, Angel Witch, Sodom, Doro and the return of Swiss thrashers Coroner. Also on the bill will be Triptykon, Belphegor, Church Of Misery, Converge, The Haunted, The Melvins, Dodheimsgard, Grave, In Solitude, Therion, Karma To Burn, Malevolent Creation, Morne, My Sleeping Karma, Nasty, Orphaned Land, Raw Power, Septicflesh, Shai Hulud, Valient Thorr, The Young Gods and Your Demise. Over 100 other bands are expected to be confirmed for the festival, which will take place from June 17th-19th in the town of Clisson.

Doro Pesch Cancels Manchester Show

Due to a band-related family emergency, Doro Pesch was forced to cancel her upcoming show in Manchester, New Hampshire on September 30th. The remaining U.S. dates will go on as planned with the American mini tour kicking off in Brooklawn, New Jersey on October 1st.

Pesch commented on the upcoming trek: "I'm so excited to return to American soil and see my American fans again! They will definitely be great shows as the band did all these summer festivals and we are on fire. I can't wait!"

Drummer Johnny Dee added: "I'm super psyched to play in the States again! Especially to see so many of our friends in South Jersey and New York. I only wish the tour was longer. Before ya know it, we'll be rocking the Japanese fans the following week!"

Krypteria Announces Final Leg of Tour

Germany's Krypteria has checked in with the following tour update:

"Despite the band currently being in the recording studio working on their upcoming album, Krypteria's return to the live circuit has been set already:

"Other than two amazing indoor festivals and Krypteria's final headlining show 2010 at one of Germany's coolest clubs, the band will tour alongside DORO for a third time since December of 2009; after all, three time's a charm - Ji-In and the boys are excited about the invitation to close out the year as a special guest to their good friend, The Metal Queen. This is gonna be good, people!!!

"We hope to see you at at least one of those shows."

Doro To Release 25th Anniversary DVD

German metal queen Doro is currently working on the last final steps to finish her biggest DVD project to date: the 25th Anniversary DVD “25 Years In Rock," which was recorded at the ISS Dome Hall in Dusseldorf on December 13th 2008. The DVD will be released in Europe via Nuclear Blast on November 26th, 2010 and in the rest of the World in 2011. Doro also has the following upcoming tour dates:

Doro Announces U.S. Tour

German heavy metal queen Doro Pesch has announced that she will be returning to North American shores this Fall for a headlining tour in support of her latest studio album, "Fear No Evil." Speaking on the shows, Doro stated:

Doro Pesch Announces Japanese Shows

German metal queen Doro Pesch, who celebrated her 2,500th concert on March 13th, will make her Japanese debut this fall with three special dates in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka. The details are as follows:

Final Bands Confirmed For Graspop 2010

The organisers of Belgiums biggest metal festival, Graspop Metal Meeting, has confirmed the final bands for this years edition of the event. The biggest news is that Soulfly, the band led by former Sepultura frontman Max Cavalera, will be headlining the event on the Saturday. Other bands added to the bill include New York hardcore legends Sick Of It All, former Guns N Roses guitarist Slash, Hatebreed, Revamp, Oceans Of Sadness and Dear Superstar. The festival takes place in the town of Dessel from June 25th-27th.

More Bands Confirmed For Graspop 2010

The organisers of Belgiums premier metal festival, Graspop Metal Meeting, has announced the addition of eleven more bands to this years bill. Among the latest acts are American supergroup Hellyeah, Australian rockers Airbourne and British heavy metal veterans Raven. The other confirmed bands are Katatonia, Evergrey, The Devil's Blood, Eluveitie, Finntroll, Dark Funeral, 3 Inches Of Blood and Sylosis. The festival will take place in the town of Dessel from June 25th-27th.

Four More Bands Confirmed For Graspop 2010

The organisers of Belgium's Graspop Metal Meeting festival has announced that four more bands have now been added to the lineup. The biggest announcement is that Aerosmith will be headlining the event on the friday. Also joining them that day will be reunited California grungers Stone Temple Pilots. Industrial metal legends Fear Factory will be performing at the festival and so will Atlanta based metal outfit Mastodon, who are still touring in support of their critically acclaimed album, "Crack The Skye."

Among the latest acts are American thrash metal legends Slayer, British gothic metal veterans Paradise Lost, heavy metal icons Saxon and death metal legends Cannibal Corpse and Deicide. Headliners Confirmed For Bloodstock Open Air

The organisers of Britain's Bloodstock Open Air festival has announced that Finnish heavy metal outfit Children Of Bodom and industrial metal legends Fear Factory will be headlining the 2010 edition of the event.

Sigh Vocalist Appears In Heavy Metal Cookbook

Dr. Mikannibal of Japanese metallers Sigh is sharing her Habanero Gyudon recipe with the world in the new cookbook "Hellbent For Cooking: The Heavy Metal Cookbook." The book, which was put together by Annick "Morbid Chef" Giroux, is now available from Bazillion Points Books. "Hellbent For Cooking" features 101 entries from 32 countries and includes entries from bands such as Thin Lizzy, Anthrax, Destruction, Possessed, Obituary, Accept, Doro, Gwar, Toxic Holocaust, EyeHateGod, Saint Vitus, Amebix, Melechesh, Cauldron, Uriah Heep, and more.
