All Hail The Yeti Releases New Video

Whiskey-soaked hardcore metal hybrid All Hail The Yeti released new full-length concept album, "Screams From A Black Wilderness," earlier this month via Minus Head Records. Today, the band releases a new silent film-inspired music video for one of the album's standout tracks, "Daughter Of The Morning Star."

The "Daughter Of The Morning Star" video is designed to depict the earliest part of the "Before The Flames" / "After The Great Fire" satanic nun saga. The video is once again directed by Brian Cox of Flarelight Films.

Vocalist Connor Garritty explains the concept behind this particular video: "This story begins in the late 1400's with a pagan witch/wiccan woman who lives by herself, purposefully distanced from a village of Christian Puritans. They are scared of her because she is different and doesn't follow their ideals. The men from the village plan to get rid of her and hunt her down. They rape her, beat her and leave her for dead. She then transforms and summons the power of the devil and takes revenge on the men and the people from the village." More...

All Hail The Yeti Streaming "Mr. Murder"

Southern-fried hardcore metal hybrid All Hail The Yeti will release a full-length concept album entitled "Screams From A Black Wilderness" on April 8th, 2016 via Minus Head Records.

The album concept, based on classic campfire-circle style horror stories, presents a different story with each track. Check out the "Mr. Murder" entry below, which features guest vocals from Brock Lindow of 36 Crazyfists.

Vocalist Connor Garritty reveals that this track in particular steps outside the overall horror theme of the album. "Mr. Murder" was originally written as a surprise tribute to Garritty's best friend, penned before his untimely passing last year.

Garritty comments: "Mr. Murder was written about my best friend Matt who passed away last year. He was one of the most influential people for me growing up and throughout my music career. The song was originally written in tribute to him and his unbelievable strength and passion for life. He left us unexpectedly before I could show him the song. It was supposed to be a surprise, almost a thank you to him for helping in more ways than he knew. More...

All Hail The Yeti Posts New Video

It was recently announced that southern-fried hardcore metal hybrid All Hail The Yeti will release full-length concept album, "Screams From A Black Wilderness," on April 8th, 2016 via Minus Head Records.

The album concept, based on classic campfire-circle horror stories, presents a different story with each track. "Screams From A Black Wilderness" features the prequel to the concept track "After The Great Fire," entitled "Before The Flames." Check out a video for that clip below.

Both videos are directed by Brian Cox of Flarelight Films and depict an orphanage housing children being abused by possessed caretaker nuns. When the nuns try to hide the abuse, their plan backfires tragically and everyone meets their demise. "Before The Flames" conceptualizes how the evil corruption came to be, before the tragic flames were set.

"This portion of the story is told from one child's point of view - the little girl writing the letter to her parents begging them to come save her," states vocalist Connor Garritty. "The idea for the story was something I came up with and immediately wanted to convey visually in addition to musically. The director Brian and I worked pretty closely together on the concept and treatment. From the initial idea I knew that I wanted it to be something that would make people feel uncomfortable but not be too gory. It's more of a 'suggested' horror, to think of what these nuns are doing to these little children." More...

East Of The Wall Stops in Huntington, WV

The night ended up being one of those really unexpected good times. I started in a mellow mood, listening to piano albums by Medeski and Mingus all day. The weather was unseasonably warm for a mid-April evening which made me want to be outside, not stuck in bar listening to four heavy metal bands I had never heard of until 1:00 in the morning.

I headed over to the V Club to check at 9pm. To my surprise, All Hail the Yeti, had dropped off the roster which pushed the start time back an hour, which gave me an hour to kill. I passed the time nursing a Corona and chatting up Mr. Duncan, the door man, about the show posters they had on the wall. Jimbo Valentine of Amalgam Unlimited had created a badass poster for the show that night. In retrospect I should have asked for a copy.

Among the Dead was the first band on stage. Among the Dead is a local band from Huntington, a 3-piece plus singer, in their early 20s maybe. The singer had a stubbled head, a beer belly, was wearing camo shorts and nerd glasses. The other three members looked like versions of a skinny jeans advert, all lanky and cropped hair. Their sound was heavy, death metal, with a loose playing style, though the songs stayed together well. The singer alternated belting out deep guttural bellows and sick screeches. The guitar player had some brief sweet spot solos, while the bassist bruised his instrument with interludes on a song or two. The drummer had serious technique with the double bass. The crowd liked these guys. They clapped and whistled and cheered. After their second song someone in the audience yelled, “Can we get more please?” Among the Dead delivered the request and much more. More...

"Unexpectedly we have to cancel the second leg of the tour. So we will not be doing the east coast shows with East of The Wall. This is beyond our control and we apologize to anyone that this will affect.

"With that being said we are looking for some shows to jump on, or try and book some to get us home. Our last show is in upstate New York with In This Moment. On March 30th. Let us know if you can help out. Sorry again."

All Hail The Yeti Recruits New Drummer

All Hail The Yeti is currently embarked on the recently announced Reconcile For Revenge Tour, the first full trek in support of the band's self-titled debut full-length, released at the end of August worldwide via AFM Records. The outfit is currently raging across the western half of the country, and has just expanded the tour, adding an additional slew of dates to the brutal trek.

See the fully updated itinerary below and expect new updates in the days ahead. All Hail The Yeti has also confirmed the recent addition of a new drummer following the recent departure of Skylar Feigel. Frontman Connor Garritty released an official statement on the new band member this week:

“We are very excited to announce that we have recruited a new drummer. Steve White officially joined the band in early October. His enthusiasm and positivity are a refreshing start to this new chapter of the band. He is an outstanding drummer that brings a whole new element to the table that we never had before. The vibe during rehearsals is better than it has ever been, and we feel very blessed to have found someone with the same goals and drive to succeed that we do. Having fun and being able to create on a brotherhood level has always been important to AHTY.

"Sometimes artistic relationships are difficult, and seeing eye-to-eye is often very tiring. When creative differences get in the way of progress, at some point someone needs to make a choice. With that being said Skylar decided that it was time to move on from AHTY, to pursue further musical goals. We wish him nothing but the best for his career to come. He will always be one of the family, and we support his decision one hundred percent.”

All Hail The Yeti Posts New Music Video

Los Angeles-based Southern groove metal outfit All Hail The Yti recently filmed a new video for the seventh track from the band's pending self-titled debut LP. Recorded with producers Tommy Decker and Mike Sarkisyan, the band’s debut LP will be released in North America via German metal juggernaut AFM Records on August 28th.

Check out the music video for "The Art of Mourning" in the player below. The following press release was also issued about the new clip:

"The Art Of Mourning is about a gunslinger who wants out of his 'deviant' lifestyle, and is trying to settle down with his wife and kids, but the people above him don’t want to lose their best gun. So they murder his kids, rape and hang his wife, and leave them for dead on the porch of his burnt-down ranch. Now this torn man with nothing left, has to decide whether to come to terms with the consequences of a life that he chose. Or take revenge on the men that took everything from him. Filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia with director Rob Cantin, the video combines close-up performance footage of All Hail The Yeti cut into a gritty, Western movie storyline chock full of old-school debauchery, brutal gunfights and gory head-shots utilizing actual .45 revolvers, a full-on lynching and all kinds of high-action entertainment!"

Stated All Hail The Yeti vocalist Connor Garritty on the video’s inception and creation: “Rob and I have been friends for many years and we share a love for the Old West and the gunfighters of the late 1800's. We have done a couple paranormal investigations of hot spots like tombstone's birdcage theater, and Bisbee Arizona, trying to get some sort of glimpse of what life would have been like back then. We had a blast making this clip and this is just the beginning for us. We are already in talks about the next one. With these ventures you learn new things every time, and each moment becomes a memory. That is the most important thing to us!” More...
