New Jersey, get ready to rock harder than ever: the second annual Rock Carnival will take place on September 30th, October 1st and October 2nd in Lakewood, NJ at First Energy Park, home of the Lakewood Blue Claws.
As with its inaugural year, which drew a staggering 50,000+ attendees, the second annual Rock Carnival will feature classic carnival rides and entertainment, the most delicious food truck offerings, high-action pro wrestling, beer gardens pouring the tastiest of brews, and of course... the best in local, national and international rock and heavy metal music performances.
This year will introduce a "Classic Rewind" Friday night concert, featuring some special performances from 2015 acts returning to the event they loved. Three-day general admission and reserved seat weekend packages for this year's Rock Carnival go on sale Friday, May 13th at 12:00pm Eastern time.

Red dirt metal outlaws and steadfast THC endorsers Texas Hippie Coalition dropped the "Dark Side Of Black" album on April 22nd via Carved Records. In celebration, the band has also released a new video for "Angel Fall."
The video was directed by Clark Deal and was filmed at 3130 Studios in Oklahoma City, OK. Take a long drag and relax to the heavy groove sounds and blazing visuals of "Angel Fall" below.
Vocalist Big Dad Ritch states, "Putting this video together, we knew we had to make haste, because we had to get on down the highway. As many people out there in the world know, if you're a musician, the only real way to make any money is to take the stage. And we put more miles on tires than any motorcycle club in the nation.
"When you take a look at this video, you'll notice the simplicity. I made sure the camera targeted in on the players faces, their emotions, and what they were going through playing the song. We just let what's inside them pour out onto the film. Nothing big about this, no inserts of visions that some director might whip up and to try and show what the singer/songwriter was trying to portray. We kept it pure and raw, just the way I like it. We wanted to keep it plain, let you see the darkness, let the black shine in, let the shadows on the face block exactly how the lips are moving where the words can't be seen. More...
The true inventors of red dirt metal - none other than Texas outlaw quartet Texas Hippie Coalition - are pleased to reveal another brand new track cut from upcoming release "Dark Side Of Black," due out April 22nd via Carved Records.
The song "Come Get It" appears as track one on the new album and is available for streaming right now below. When asked by Guitar World what the significance of the album's title is, vocalist Big Dad Ritch stated:
"There are a lot of people who will work hard at blacking out your light, as opposed to working on making their own light bright. I feel I represent a mighty powerful bright light, but I also feel that when push comes to shove, the darkness I have hidden behind my light is ready to blacken all that holds color. When this happens, I cannot control my dark side. You see, there is always someone who has a darker side and I am the Dark Side of Black..."
Colorado THC fans should brace themselves for the band's upcoming album release party and performance at Herman's Hideaway in Denver, CO, taking place on April 23rd. It's no secret that the show will celebrate the 4/20 holiday and that special plant the band holds dear, so in preparation for the show, local rock station 106.7 KBPI FM will premiere the band's weed-friendly track "Knee Deep" on April 20th during "Your Morning Show" with host Willie B. Following the "Ride On" and a position on the 2014 Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, gritty southern metal four-piece Texas Hippie Coalition is back with fourth full-length Carved Records album, "Dark Side of Black," due to be released on April 22nd, 2016.
Embracing southern roots while exploring a heavier sound than ever before, "Dark Side of Black" achieves a murky, groovier feel while not straying too far from THC's tried and true brand of rugged outlaw rock.
The album was recorded at Boot Hill Studio in Corinth, TX and Valve Studios in Dallas, TX with producer Sterling Winfield (Pantera, Hellyeah, Damageplan).
"'Dark Side of Black' is our heaviest album to date for sure," states THC vocalist Big Dad Ritch. "We've learned a lot having made four full-length albums prior. We're trying to use that knowledge we learned to make an album that can maintain what Ride On and Peacemaker bring to the table, yet we wanted it to lend itself more to the power that is the red dirt metal of Rollin and Pride of Texas. So it feels like Pride meets Peacemaker. Top shelf THC meets bottom shelf liquor..." More...
Currently in the midst of a U.S. run with Theory of A Deadman, Fozzy now announces "The Cinderblock Party Tour," a headlining run in support of new single and title track of the "Do You Wanna Start A War" album.
The Cinderblock Party Tour is a 19 date trek kicking off in Flint, MI on November 20th with special guests Texas Hippie Coalition and Shaman's Harvest. A full set of dates can be seen below.
In other news, Fozzy is proud and honored to announce the addition of Jeff Rouse as their new bass player. Jeff is an incredible musician and singer who has spent the last decade playing in Duff McKagen's Loaded and is also the lead singer and guitar player in The Guessing Game. After former bassist Paul DiLeo amicably and mutually parted ways with Fozzy last May, Jeff stepped in and immediately injected his amazing musicianship and electrifying stage presence into Fozzy's already critically acclaimed live show.
"I'm stoked to have been asked to join Fozzy and to hit the road to support 'Do You Wanna Start A War!' Can't wait to see everyone out there!" Rouse said.
Fozzy guitarist and main songwriter Rich Ward comments, "The first time I saw Jeff play with Duff McKagen's Load, it was immediately apparent that I was watching a special talent. He's a pocket player with killer tone and amazing stage presence. One of the few total package musicians that I have ever known and it's an honor to call him a bandmate and more importantly, my brother."
Singer Chris Jericho says, "I'm very excited to welcome Jeff into the band. His attitude, energy, charisma and playing skills instantly make Fozzy a better band and we are looking forward to a long, prosperous and sexy relationship with him!" More...
Texas Hippie Coalition has issued the following announcement about bassist John Exall being hospitalized:
"THC family and friends: John has had to be hospitalized for pneumonia and a severe infection on his left lung. He will be held for at least three days while his doctors work to get him healthy.
"Unfortunately this means we have to cancel our show tomorrow in Lubbock. We sincerely apologize, but have to make John our priority right now. You can still catch Saliva and Wayne Static tomorrow night at Jake’s Backroom.
"Take a little time today if you could, and say a prayer for our Brother John. Lots of love from the Caolition will help him through it. Thanks to all of you for your understanding, and we'll see you soon." More...
