Counterparts has released a new video for "The Disconnect," taken from latest release "The Current Will Carry Us." The video was produced by Vinnie Leonetti on the band's recent Canadian tour with Stray From The Path and Obey The Brave. Check out the clip below.
Vocalist Brendan Murphy comments: "The video for The Disconnect is a perfect representation of us as a band. When we go on tour, we aren't there to impress anyone, we aren't going to 'work,' and we are going to have fun. Since day one, this band has been about having fun and making ourselves happy. This video gives people an insight into who we are when we aren't on stage and how we spend our time. Whether it is skateboarding, trust-falling off our trailer, dancing, getting drunk, playing UNO in crappy hotel rooms or just straight up being children; you can be sure that we're having the time of our lives. That's what motivates us to get in the van time after time." More...
In addition to Canadian tour dates in September, Stray From The Path has also announced a headlining U.S. tour this coming October alongside Reign Supreme, Counterparts, and Gideon. Full details on the run are available in the tour poster below, or over at the Stray From the Path Facebook profile here. More...
Canadian melodic hardcore group Counterparts will be headlining the band's first ever European tour this October. Empires Fade and Climates will join Counterparts on the nineteen city run beginning October 22nd in Eindhoven, Netherlands.
Vocalist Brendan Murphy commentsL “We're very excited to begin our European tour and have wanted to tour in Europe for months now. We are always getting bombarded with messages on our Facebook saying, 'Come to Germany!,'Come to Italy!' etc., and now we can finally say 'YO C U SOON' and mean it! We're excited to see how our band will do internationally and are excited to visit parts of the world we may never get to see again, assuming our plane makes it there in one piece.”
As was previously announced, Counterparts will also be supporting Stray From The Path on an upcoming tour starting in Windsor, Ontario on September 10th. A complete listing of tour dates can be found below. More...
Stray From The Path, which recently posted a Rage Against the Machine cover online, has now announced dates for the The Eastern Canada Tour with Obey the Brave and Counterparts. Special guests Backtrack and Northlane will also be coming along for the trek, kicking off September 10th. The following press release was also issued:
"It is no coincidence that listeners of Stray From The Path will often have a difficult time confining them to a specific genre. The have made it a point to remain unpredictable, intricate, and intelligent. Listeners can expect their music to surpass the gratuitous and/or contrived music that is all too common today, and instead perform articulate songs that refuse to compromise their precision, honesty, and genuine desire to impress. Be sure to check out their awesome, new album Rising Sun now. For additional information feel free to visit the band's Facebook profile."
