The following message has been posted on the official Download festival website:
"Download Festival has announced a fantastic motley crew of metallers to this year's line up, showing yet again how much the festival represents all walks from the 'rock' way of life! Leading the metal charge are Testament, Municipal Waste and Trigger The Bloodshed all who bring a slice of brutality to the weekend. Joining them are Brigade, Exit Ten, Comeback Kid, Valient Thorr, Chiodos, Animal Alpha, August Burns Red, Rose Tattoo and Hostile."
Wisconsin metalcore band, Misery Signals, have completed work on their brand new record. Misery Signals will be making the long trip back to the states only to turn right back around and go to Europe with August Burns Red and Emmure. Upon returning from their Euro dates, they will begin a U.S./Canada run with As I Lay Dying. All info for all upcoming dates can be found here.

August Burns Red guitarist JB Brubaker is currently hobbled with foot injury that may be a fracture. Brubaker explains:
"During Every Time I Die's last song at the House of Blues in Dallas, I went to do a 'sweet' stage dive but ended up jumping too far into the crowd, landing in the pit and coming down very hard on my right heel. I haven't been able to walk on it since and I've been hobbeling around on crutches for the time being. Unfortunately, my busted heel keeps me from running around and rocking out like I would like to when we play. I am getting x-rays on Monday and I will find out if it's officially fractured or not.
I wanted to thank everyone for putting up with me and my gimp foot for the past week and for having a good time during our set. I also want to apologize for not being able to go off 100% for you and I promise I'm doing what I can to get this foot of mine back in working order as soon as possible."
Misery Signals have announced they will be joining As I Lay Dying on their upcoming tour starting this April. The run will go coast to coast (and Canada) and also feature August Burns Red who the band will also be hitting Europe with beginning in late March.

Gearing up for another relentless touring schedule in 2008, As I Lay Dying are not waiting long after the New Year to get back on the road. The January 2008 leg of their acclaimed AN OCEAN BETWEEN US tour will feature a fresh crop of opening bands - August Burns Red, Evergreen Terrace and Still Remains - and will continue to bring their genuine brand of fist-pumping metal to a theatre near you. The outing will begin on January 10th in Las Vegas, NV and will continue on through February 1 in Omaha, NE.
A video was recently completed for the band's new track "The Sound Of Truth." The clip, a sequel to the story in the video for "Nothing Left," was filmed in Los Angeles while the band was between tours. It was directed by Brian Thompson and is slated to debut in January on MTV2's Headbangers Ball.
Guitarist, Phil Sgrosso says of the upcoming trek "2008 is going to be a very busy year for us and there's no better way to start it off than with a US headline tour. We'll be hitting a lot of cities that we haven't played for a while and we're bringing along our friends in August Burns Red, Evergreen Terrace, and Still Remains. This is going to be an exciting tour for us and all of our fans, I can't wait."
Tickets for the dates below will go on sale on Friday Nov-23.

Unearth has posted the following short tour update on their MySpace page:
"We have to thank all our fans for packing out the first batch of shows of our headlining tour with Darkest Hour, August Burns Red and Suicide Silence."
"It feels good to be back in the smaller venues with the people right up at the stage partying with us. These shows could not be going any better."
"Thanks to everyone..."
Massachusetts metal heavyweights Unearth have just announced that they will be filming their show at the Glasshouse in Pomona, CA for an upcoming DVD. This tour marks the band's first US tour since their run of dates with Dimmu Borgir back in April/May of 2007. Joining Unearth on tour will be Darkest Hour, August Burns Red, and Suicide Silence. This monstrous tour will hit the road on September 27th for a four-week North American tour with stops in Canada. The dates are in support of the Unearth's latest album, III: In The Eyes Of Fire (recorded with Terry Date, Soundgarden, White Zombie, Pantera, Deftones) which was released August 8th 2006.
Here's what vocalist Trevor Phipps has to say: "We figured it was about time we shot a real DVD and what better place than the intimate Glasshouse? Ever since we first played there in 2002 we have loved the crowds and venue in every repeat visit. We couldn't be more stoked to return and get it on tape this time around. A high energy show and good times will be had by all on October 9th.
The live show will only be part of the DVD as we aim to make it a double disc with behind the scenes footage of us on tour, the band and crew backstage, hanging with the fans, rare studio footage, band, crew and special guest interviews, more live footage and pictures from our travels around the world and all of our videos. The DVD set will be a complete retrospective from our beginnings in the basement practice space in Winthrop, Massachusetts all the way up to present day as well as a look at what is in store for us as we approach a full decade of being Unearth."
If any of you have pictures or video you think will be a worthy addition to the DVD, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
