Biomortal Releases Album Five Years In The Making

Double bass drum and synth led metal band from London, Biomortal, has finally released the long awaited album "Genesynthesis."

The album was produced by Paul Theobald (guitarist/vocals) and mastered by Jacob Hansen of Hansen Studios (Mercenary, Volbeat, Ginger Wildheart, Xerath) and weighs in at 11 tracks at 69 minutes long.

It’s taken 5 long years to get out, due to several dealings with various labels which ended up coming to nothing. Paul explains, "The album’s been done for a couple of years now, but we wanted to release it the right way and within the established comfort of a label. Opportunities never panned out so we just wanted to release it ourselves before people lost interest, which they probably have already haha." More...

Biomortal Covers "Take My Breath Away"

U.K. progressive/industrial metal act Biomortal has posted a new video, which heavily features cats, for the band's cover version of Berlin's classic "Take My Breath Away."

This also coincides with the release of the five track "Breathe EP," which can be downloaded for free from the band's site. It features the song "Take My Breath Away," as well as four other songs.

"Take My Breath Away isn't on Genesynthesis (forthcoming Biomortal album) so we thought we'd give it away for free with some new versions of old songs in better quality for you to listen to and enjoy (or be violently sick)," commented Paul, the guitarist, synth player and backing vocalist. "This is not meant to be a major release from us, merely some stuff we thought the fans might like to hear," he continues.

"We're very nearly finished our new album, Genesynthesis, we just have to record one more song, which will be the last song on the album." states Robert the main vocalist. "The album will be over an hour long and we're hoping it weighs in at around an hour and a half but it depends on this last song which is going to be pretty epic."

You can also check out the band's previous music video for the song "Letter" off of the forthcoming album "Genesynthesis," directed by Daniel Brand of Neskin Industries.

Biomortal Posts New Music Video Online

UK progressive/industrial metal band Biomortal have released their debut video for the song "Letter" from their forthcoming album, "Genesynthesis."

The promo was directed by the brains behind Napalm Death's 'On The Brink Of Extinction' video, Daniel Brand from Neskin Industries.

"'It was filmed in a chalk quarry in Cambridge," guitarist Paul Theobald states, "We brought a generator along with us to power the PA so we could mime along to the track but despite several successful tests before we left, it decided to not work the second we got to the location. 'We ended up miming to the drummer while he played along to the track with headphones via his mp3 player."
