Today, Aeternitas Tenebrarum Music Foundation (ATMF) sets November 3rd as the international release date for Absentia Lunae's new album, "Vorwarts." ATMF comments:
"Absentia Lunae have been always upfront in crushing the stagnant chaos of black metal to forge a new shape of music. Capturing the essence of the most arrogant, elitist martial attitude of the darkest side can become a new manner to influence listener energy.
"We need a new border to be crushed; we need the energy to raise the freedom of the inner self, disturbed by the frequencies of what we wrongfully call 'modernity.' Vorwarts means 'forward' - never looking back, reacting to the stagnant chaos of the thousand dead voices trying to confuse the inner self.
"Absentia Lunae's new mission starts where the father of avant-garde black metal failed, without wasting an inch of determination to the artistic goal due to self-indulgence, but looking to the point and to the final target, far beyond the shadow of any minimalist substance. Some may recall echoes of Mayhem's second era, provoking attitude, but there all is forged into the statue that Vorwartsrepresents, like a picture of fatalism, like a strong wind devouring the sand dunes of transience. A new kin will rise but will soon take the distance from the human being, transcending the mundane. More...
Absentia Lunae has posted the cover artwork online for the band's new album "Vorwärts," which can be viewed below. The band also commented on the new album:
"Musically speaking, we have chosen a different approach and pushed forward the harsh industrial contamination with some new interesting collaborations, we don't want to say much more at this very moment.
"If 'Historia Nobis Assentieur' was a violent catharsis of our inner self, a Nietzschean storm that left nothing but a scenario of ruins, 'Vorwärts' is one step ahead: the sound of the horn to reach higher fields, leaving the wreckage of the past behind.
"Vorwärts tries to merge the spirit of Italian Futurism, the last great artistic movement of the 20th Century, with immortal symbols and messages from different times and places: truth knows no boundaries. Our new logo is a re-interpretation of Yukio Mishima's Tatenokai, also known as 'Shield Society,' not only a symbol of spiritual resistance but an active opposition against the modern decay. We could call this approach 'Archeofuturism' but our will is to go way beyond over it, since Vorwärts represents what we're actively pursuing in our lives. We're building the world under the shape of our blade and we'll retake everything. Resurgat Aurora!"
Absentia Lunae has issued the following announcement about working on an upcoming full-length album:
"We're back since quite some time from the In Gloria Solis Atri European tour and we're currently working on our forthcoming new album called Vorwärts. We've performed a surprise blitzkrieg in Frankfurt, as you may already know they wanted to stop us but they ended up defeated: Stehend Begraben."
Absentia Lunae will be heading out on a European tour later this month with Glorior Belli. The band has now issued the following announcement about being banned from playing in Frankfurt at the Welt in Trümmern festival:
"We’ve been banned from Frankfurt due to the threats received by the organizer of the Welt in Trümmern festival (the closing date of our European tour together with Glorior Belli, Horned Almighty and The One) by antifas. The German Police warned by antifas and Frankfurt’s city council has been forced to issue a ban against us.
"Not respecting the ban would mean the cancellation of the festival. As a matter of respect towards our tour comrades and people attending the show we accept the situation as it is, we will be there but the won’t play. Usually to this kind of news would follow one of those statements that a lot of bands/labels/organizers/individuals issue to try to get rid of those ignorant rioters that antifas are.
"If you’re expecting this from us then make yourself comfortable, since you’re going to wait forever. We feel that we do NOT have to say sorry to or justify ourself with anyone. The contents of our music (both visually and lyrically) are public and anybody with a working brain can understand what Absentia Lunae are about. We lack the capabilities, time and interest to remedy to some short brained individuals with self-evident reading/understanding problems.
"From our side we take this with irony since it’s quite funny to see how antifas work very well together with the establishment that they want us to believe they’re against. They’re the most zealous political police of a status quo we consider the enemy. Nothing more than conservative puppets. More...
