At the beginning of the year, symphonic pagan black metal project Welicoruss became international with a new lineup due to the relocation of band’s leader Alexey Boganov from snowy Siberia to Prague.
The newly joined musicians are Dmitriy Zhikharevich (Russia, bass), Gojko Maric (Serbia, guitar) and David Urban (Czech Republic, drums). The band has also now announced that the "Az Esm" album is finally ready for consumption.
The 12 songs will features a variety of guest musicians, while mixing and mastering were handled by Alexey Stecuk at Dryvga studio and booklet was created by Alex Mayhem.
Alexey Boganov comments: ”We are very happy and we would like to thank everybody, who participated in recording process and those, who shown us their patience and understanding! We are very pleased with final result, because it has exceeded all our expectations, but all additional information will be later, because now we are pretty busy celebrating it).”
Further details on the release and a Spring 2015 European tour will be announced in the future.

Russian act Welicoruss is currently working on a new music video for the track "Sons Of The North," and the band has posted a series of photos from the video shoot, which can be found here. Welicoruss also commented:
"The first part of the shooting of our new video for 'Sons of the North' has ended and we want to share our bright feelings with you - to show how it was! The shooting took place on a mountain Muztag near the village Sheregesh in Mountain Shoria region, main operator - Alexander Semko shooting was carried out with the participation of Theatre Visorium (Alice Arefieva, Eugene Nakryshsky, Alexander Galuzo). Special thanks we would like to express to Yuri and Olga Levins, thank you all for a great time!"

Welicoruss has issued the following announcement about drummer Elias releasing a free solo album:
"We are proud to announce the drummer of Welicoruss finished work on his new solo album - 'Not a Word about the World!' The release includes 11 new tracks, completely composed, played, recorded and mixed by Elias in his Tonhammer Studio.
Russian metal act Welicoruss has announced the band is finishing up work on the new single "Kharnha." The band recorded three new songs for the single, which are currently being mixed by Ilya Chursin at Tonhammer Studio.
Additional details on the new single's track listing and release date will be announced as they are made available.

Russia's Welicoruss has issued the following announcement about lineup changes in the band:
"In the In the autumn of 2010 the keyboard player Demid Polyansky and bass-guitarist Alexander Golovin left the group due to their occupancy in other areas. New members were searched for a long time and finally were found. Keyboard post will be held now by Boris 'Sens' Voskolovich and five thick strings will now be tortured by Alexey 'Alex' Boldin!"
Vocalist Alexey Boganov also added, "We started our work with Boris as far back as autumn and I'm fully satisfied with his approach and creative potential. This guy is the next Warman to come! Alexey joined us some later, he is responsive and positive guy, which is also very creative and skilled. At the moment we are recording our third album and every member of our group takes part. This is a distinctive feature of the new material - this music is composed by all us together. What now we get is what I really like and enjoy - it is a worthy continuation of our previous albums!"
Russia's Welicoruss has checked in with the following update about recording new material and working on a music video:
"In spring 2011 the band is going to make the video-clip for their new single (which is kept a secret for now). The subject for the clip is northern tradition, Skandinavic/Russian theme. The group searches for picturesque, charismatic soldiers in regimentals having corresponding abilities, and also beautiful ladies for the filming.
"Let's remind, that WelicoRuss shortly are going to lock themselves up at Neverside studio for record and then at TonHummer Studio for the further arrangement and mastering under responsive guidance of Ilya Chursin, who already has acted as a sound control supervisor and sound producer for the first two albums.
"We liked Ilya’s approach greatly; his artistic flair and intuition about what every song need to be. I suppose this time we will make absolutely new sound that will be surprising for everybody!"
